    Re: Lathe chuck backing plate maching trouble Cast iron, when knocked out of the sand moulds too hot, gets a very hard "skin" to it. This is whats happened.Cast iron is cheap no matter how its made...its not a lot different to pig iron. The surface finish depends on the time in the mould.

    Re: bush firing pin to end cratered primers-worth it? Change primers. Fed 210,s are one of the softest rifle primers out there. Try cci br2,s...they have a thicker cup. Primer cratering is just an annoyance, it wont make any difference to how the gun shoots.

    Re: AICS / Duracoat Scotch it, then apply a coat of primer suitable for plastic car bumpers. As this is flashing off, apply a coat of hi-build, or ordinary primer.When this is dry, flat down and spray duracoat as normal.It sticks like crap to a blanket.
