    trainer stocks.

Re: trainer stocks. OK, I'm going out on a limb here but I just got a Remington 504 HB. I put a MIL/MIL Weaver scope form Midway ($299.99) and I'm off. Its a later model up in the 9000's and shoots great with Walmart Federal. 22BR results? No. But 3/4" at 50 without really trying is...

    optic options for trainer 22LR

Re: optic options for trainer 22LR I looked at the Mueller Tactical Scopes. Whilke I would love to have a 30mm tube, it has the same problem as the Bushnell 3200 from anyone but Midway, it's not MIL/MIL. My regular scopes (Premier and S&B) are both MIL/MIL so I wanted to stick with that for...

    optic options for trainer 22LR

Re: optic options for trainer 22LR On that Bushnell 10x. Midway carries a MIL/MIL version. The one on Amazon is a little cheaper but is MOA.

Rifle Scopes Sunshade for Weaver Tactical Grand Slam Scope

I got this scope for my .22 trainer. While Midway provides numbers for the lens caps there is nothing for a sunshade. Weaver is NO help. But I finally found one that may be readily available. Its a Nikon RSH-11. Fits perfectly. The one I got was $12 at a show, no idea of what retail is...

    optic options for trainer 22LR

Re: optic options for trainer 22LR Have you looked at the Weaver MIL/MIL scope being offered by Midway this month? $299.99 is hard to beat and it is very bright. I have it on a 504 and am very happy with it. Only thing is that is doesn't come with caps or a sun shade. Midway recommends...

20 MOA scope base for a Remington 541

I just listed a 20 MOA base for a Remington 541 in the Optics & Accessories For Sale section for $25 shipped. It was modified for another rifle so don't expect brand new. The base was made, and modified, by EGW.

Looking for a factory 77/22 wooden stock.

Re: Looking for a factory 77/22 wooden stock. Try Brownells. They have the laminated stocks for HB "VBZ" model. Brownell number 780-000-269, $169.99. Very nice stock for HB. Go with a Clark Custom barrel .920 Round Blue #CLK-706-RDCM $ 175. I have been down this road. Good luck.

    Gunsmithing CDI Precision

Re: CDI Precision My stock was a B&C from Iron Brigade. With the aluminum block in there it's impossible to fit by hand. Jeff does a great job with a cnc setup. The only thing needing adjustment is the mag release. Jeff gives instructions with the metal. This was the way to go for me. I...

    Gunsmithing CDI Precision

Just a quick word about CDI. What great service! And a quality product. I sent a stock down to Jeff to be inlet. The price was very fair and the service quick. In case you are ordering from the boys in AZ, they inlet for CDI too. From here on out, only CDI bottom metal on my guns.

Rifle Scopes Do you want to try a Mil / Mil Scope ?

Re: Do you want to try a Mil / Mil Scope ? I have both S&Bs and Premiers on my full size sticks but wanted something a little less on my .22 trainer. Enter...WEAVER from Midway. A true Mil/Mil scope on sale this month for $299.00 and worth every penny. As bright as my big boys? Nope. But...

Just got a Remington 504 HB

Re: Just got a Remington 504 HB Well I'm still at it. The EGW mount came, beautiful. You libe up the front screw and that put the notch for shell ejection in the right place. You cut off about 3/8" (precision there) off the back end to clear the bolt. Then you have a clean area for the...

Gunsmithing CDI Metal for Remington 5R 300 WM

Re: CDI Metal for Remington 5R 300 WM I agree with Mexican Match. Have Jeff at CDI do it. The price is very reasonable ($60) and its a pain to do it with an aluminum block in there.

Just got a Remington 504 HB

Re: Just got a Remington 504 HB Yep, mags suck. Mine is plastic. Ones on Gunbroker are potmetal. The 597 are potmetal too. What model did he have HB or Sporter? The sporters had a bad rep.

Just got a Remington 504 HB

I haven't given up on my 77/22 but I just got a Remington 504 HB that will be used as a trainer. What a gun. Yes, they do have some problems but the weight (8.5 lbs) and feel are great. I even got an extra stock from Numerich for $46. What a deal. A couple of points that will save some...
