Rifle Scopes Will I regret getting the vortex viper hs-t?

I'm still counting the rounds on my 6-24x50mm PST sitting on top of my Egde, close to 200 rounds now. Shooting 300gr SMKs at 2814 fps. No issue as of yet. I'll let you know when it craps out on me, as you know it's just a matter of time right? ;)

Rifle Scopes My Vortex 6x24x50 PST... You fellows need to know..

As I have mentioned on here before, I have a braked .338 Edge. Which is definitely not easy on my Vortex PST 6-24x50mm. But mine is a SFP, don't know if this is a big difference or not, but it seems that you all are mainly seeing the FFP fail. I have 150 rounds on this one and no problems...

Rifle Scopes My Vortex 6x24x50 PST... You fellows need to know..

Got to tell ya, I was just about to buy 2 more pst scopes because I liked the one on my Edge so much, but after reading these posts I'm looking seriously at Bushnell Elite tactical line of scopes.

Rifle Scopes Vortex PSTs On Big Magnums

150 rounds include load work up and multiple trips to the range. Dope was good at 100 rounds, just spent the last 50 rounds verifying it.

Rifle Scopes Vortex PSTs On Big Magnums

After reading the recent post on here I can't seem to get it out of my head that I might end up in the same boat as a couple of the other guys on here. I have a .338 Edge with a 6x24 PST on it . The rifle weights 16 lbs with a 4 port Muscle brake. So far I have 150 rounds down the tube and am...

Rifle Scopes My Vortex 6x24x50 PST... You fellows need to know..

I have one of these on my .338 Edge with a muscle 4 port brake. I've got 150 rounds through it and so far so good. Hope it stays that way.

The next couple of months will be tough for me and Hunter to make it. Deer hunting will take up a lot of the week ends in Oct and Nov. BTW, did anyone end up getting any hits on the 1550 yard paper?

I have an 8" and 12" round 1/2" mild steel that I could bring if need be, but I don't have any stand for them. Just if needed, not worried about them getting tore up or anything.

Rifle Scopes My "straight up" test (testing for scope cant - pic)

That's what I was trying to demonstrate. He saw it on TV I read it in a book, and I'm sure many, many guys have done the test just for the common sense of the necessity of vertical tracking when your dialing for distance. If I was smarter I would have done it before someone else had to tell me...

Rifle Scopes My "straight up" test (testing for scope cant - pic)

I've done this test as described in one of Bryan Litz's books every time I mount a new scope. He called it the "Tall Test" in the book.

Sorry, didn't know if someone had it written down or not. It was a IPSC human silhouette. I'm thinking it was maybe a 66%? It was smaller than the 1100 yard full IPSC I believe.

Could anyone tell me the size of the ipsc style target that was at the 1009 yard mark? If anyone remembers......

Thanks KYS for hosting the shoot and thanks guys for your time setting up the range and supplying the steel!! My son talked about it the whole way home. He was really excited about getting to shoot a couple of your guys fine weapons. We can't wait till the next shoot, thanks again.
