I shoot a m99 fairly often and really like it for the money it's honestly not that bad. The bottom line is if your already putting up the $ isn't it worth the little extra to get what you want?
I wasn't sure where too post this, and I'm sure this has already been explained... But what the hell is the deal with gain twists? Are they just a fad or do they actually make a difference?
That's it? Would my pbr mag work or do I need new bottom metal? It's going to be a long while before I can afford to do much so I have time to get everything together. Also any brand suggestions on barrel, or recommended smiths?
I just sold my Sps tac, was a decent shooter but damn was it heavy for coyote hunting. I've shot a few howas of friends and I've been nothing but impressed.I'd go howa if I was going to hunt. If I was just shooting targets I'd take the rem.
Please excuse my ignorance, I have never built or had a custom rifle built for me. I'm extremely intrested in the thought of a .338 federal based on a fn pbr xp. Just wanted to hear what the more experienced have to say. Thanks
Put the break on. Anybody who I've ever known to have anything negative to say about brakes always say the same man up crap. Why? Only a tool would give advice like that. Breaks make rifles so much more enjoyable to shoot.
Most don't like em, but I love the sights on my Persian mauser. I shoot better under 200 yards with that old biddy than I do with any of my scoped rifles.
Does anyone know anything about these? I'm thinking that it's just some kind of .22 conversion kit for .45 gold cups. They didn't actually ever make gold cups in .22 from the factory did they?
