    cutting barrel for can

Re: cutting barrel for can If .308 I would cut it down to 20" and then thread for can. The can will add back roughly 8" to the overall length.

Which Badger Ordnance mount? 20 MOA cant, 30???

Re: Which Badger Ordnance mount? 20 MOA cant, 30??? For a .308 and a 14 power scope I would recommend the 20MOA rail. Technically the MOA cant is only too high when you can't zero the scope at 100 yards due to lack of internal elevation adjustment. Some scopes have 60 MOA of total...

    Tac-Ops rifle/drag bag

Re: Tac-Ops rifle/drag bag TacOps, Eagle, Eberlestock drag bags are all awesome, you can not go wrong! My buddy bought a Midway drag bag and the pull cord on the zipper broke the first day he used it. Not a good sign. Of course he paid a whopping $65 so who can complain!

    Rail - Alum vs Steel

Re: Rail - Alum vs Steel I was originally going to go with Badger steel base and rings. Then after calling them and not being able to get any for weeks (they had a big Navy contract to fulfill) I changed gears. Decided to go with a local PNW company Seekins Precision. They have a great rep...

Rifle Scopes Mil dot vs. TMR

Re: Mil dot vs. TMR TMR. My Leupold has TMR and I've used a buddies that has MilDot. The TMR is simply an improved MilDot reticle in my opinion. No dots to obstruct the view and 1 mil and .5 mil hash marks instead of only 1 mil.

    Present day issued sniper scope...........

Re: Present day issued sniper scope........... Leupold has more scopes active in the US Military than every other brand combined. The new XM2010 upgrade for the M24 uses the new Leupold Mark 4 6.5-20x50mm scope with locking turrets and 34mm tube. However that scope is not in production...

Re: What rifle case are you using I just got a Eberlestock Drag Bag last week and their scope/crown cover set. Really like it, very nice build quality and great features/storage. For my AR I have the Eberlestock Gunslinger II and love it as well. They make GREAT products!

    Sunglasses

Re: Sunglasses Off the range I'm a huge fan of both Maui Jim and Oakley, more MJ in recent years. However on the range I recently picked up a set of the Oakley S.I. Ballistic 2.0 M frames with 3 different lens. Smoke, Clear, and their VR28. The VR28 is badass, works great indoor and...

    Bipod help

Re: Bipod help You can not go wrong with a Harris BRM-S 6-9" bipod for $99 from your local sporting goods store. It easily stands up to my .338 LM and it very well made right here in the USA. Not to mention it's a standard amongst the US military.

GAP 338 Lapua <--Now with Video

Re: GAP 338 Lapua Nice rifle and can. Personally don't like how they had to contour the end of the barrel to work with the Badger FTE. One main reason why I didn't go with that brake.

    Remington 700 Action Truing Cost?

Re: Remington 700 Action Truing Cost? My local 700 gunsmith charges $250 to true the action. I'm going to wait till my 700P .338 stock barrel is toast then have it done with a custom barrel like a Krieger. Right now the gun is less that .5" MOA, so I have nothing to complain about the...

Remington 700 Police 338 Lapua rifles

Re: Remington 700 Police 338 Lapua rifles Picked up the .338 from the gunsmith this week. I had the stock compensator on the barrel removed and installed a Holland Radical Baffle Muzzle Brake. I hope it works half as good as it looks! I will finally get lots of pictures this weekend...
