    The new SAC sizing die

What's weird is, myself and another guy locally (me shooting 25CM, him 6CM) have to back the die off from the shell holder in order to get proper bump with no shims installed. I was getting a .012" bump with the die set up with cam-over. That said, we're both using the MEC press, not a Zero -...

    Dealing with a non-responsive vendor

Old age? Listen here, young whippersnapper! (I'm almost 51, myself... LOL) Unfortunately, this pattern has played out more times than I can count in the gun industry. It's usually followed by the company going under, and the owners being brought up on wire/mail fraud charges (because they've...

    Dealing with a non-responsive vendor

Just to circle back, I have provisional credits for all three purchases, now - the disputes can extend up to 45 days, so nothing's final, yet, but they're underway, anyway. And it's now been over a month, and not a peep back from Blackjack. Sad...

I'd use one if I could get one... LOL

    .25 Cal 135 Hybrid In 25 Creedmoor

There are two Sinclair mandrels - and expander mandrel (.2560) and a turning mandrel (.2550). Don’t know on K&M. But as @5280yotes says, 21st century has them in a variety of sizes and at .0005” intervals!

PSA: All Creedmoors should be .25 Creedmoors

I’m at .020 jump - but .050 shot almost as well

    Dealing with a non-responsive vendor

On the surface, yeah. In that situation (where you're dependent on another vendor to make your product, and that vendor decides to make more money by servicing other clients first), you really have only a few choices - you find another vendor, you wait, or you call it quits. If you pick the...

    Dealing with a non-responsive vendor

Have known that - and it factored in to my decision to go another way, for sure. Edit to add - but just because an employee goes another way (even publicly) doesn’t mean the company or owner are bad… but in this case it doesn’t seem to look so good at the moment.

    Dealing with a non-responsive vendor

Don’t think I ranted anywhere? It was a serious question looking for ideas on how to proceed without resorting to drastic shit, without also stirring up a bunch of drama, but… shrug The vendor’s Blackjack Bullets. I’ve got three orders totalling close to $1k (which is small potatoes vs some of...

    Dealing with a non-responsive vendor

Seems like they lost their social media team recently - they don't appear to be monitoring FB anymore, unfortunately.

    Dealing with a non-responsive vendor

Well... I placed the orders with different cards. Was able to dispute the charges on one card, but not the other, but maybe the disputes will get their attention...

    Dealing with a non-responsive vendor

Pay in advance via credit card. So... in theory, I have the option to reverse the charges. I like the registered letter idea... Hmmm...

    Dealing with a non-responsive vendor

So, let's say you have a backorder with a vendor for a year or more, and decide to go a different direction (use a different product, etc). Over two weeks, you call the vendor twice and leave voicemails, and follow up with an email each time. You get no response. What would you do from there?

How are lenses cleaned at the factory?

The Armson OEG, I think you're thinking of. Looks like true see through sights came first, but your point is still valid. That said, man, I can't stand for my RDS to not have a nice clear lens... LOL. In the 3-gun world, before the rise of modern LPVO scopes, it was common to use an ACOG in a...

How are lenses cleaned at the factory?

Use shit made for actual optics. Photosol makes a bunch of good stuff designed for glass with high tech coatings, etc. Most of the solvents mentioned won't damage the glass, but some can strip the coatings right off the glass... Generally, pure ethanol or methanol, and an appropriate wipe. The...

    The new SAC sizing die

Several of us around here have them, and have switched to them from Redding and Forster dies. They seem to produce very consistent brass - as or more consistent with less runout than our previous dies. Personally, I haven't had a chance to use mine much, yet, but so far, it's matching what the...

PSA: All Creedmoors should be .25 Creedmoors

I've been having similar results with the Berger... I've had 2500 ACEs on backorder - trying to cancel that now so I can stock up some more Bergers (same money only buys 1500 bergers, but... I can get them, and Blackjack can sell my 2500 at a higher rate, so...).

    Homemade Induction Annealer

If anyone is interested in a single "parts kit", I can put one up for sale in the sale forum - this has been a hoot, but I'm moving on to an AMP!
