    M118LR ammo question

Re: M118LR ammo question Here's some pic's of unfired 07 LC LR Ammo, the primers are not crimped but sealed along with the bullet in the case mouth. The sealer for the bullet is dark and sticky if you pull a bullet but pretty much burns off when fired.

scope for my savage mk2 .22lr??

Re: scope for my savage mk2 .22lr?? If you're going to shoot at 75 to 100 yds. then a SWFA SS will fill the job nicely with the scope mounts that come on the rifle. I've got the SS 10X42 HD on mine, I'll probably go with the 3X9 on this rifle later and put the HD on my 308 Win.

    Savage Mark 2 TR

Re: Savage Mark 2 TR Hey Kansas45; I did the chain saw thing about 15 years ago and could go up to 100 yds. but I keep it at 50 for the 22. There's a good range (Flatwoods) about five minutes from here to shoot center fire stuff. If your boys like competition shooting they should check out...

    Savage Mark 2 TR

Re: Savage Mark 2 TR I'm about half way between Jacksonville and Swansboro, not far from the back gate of Camp Lejuene. Kansas45 I know what you mean, it's been raining or blowing a gail ever since I got mine but at least I can shoot it behind my shop. I live out in the county so thats not a...

    Savage Mark 2 TR

Re: Savage Mark 2 TR Got my Wolf Match ammo today and was not dissapointed, three rounds touching and two off to the right. I knew I pulled them when they went off but I'll take that for now as good. Didn't measure but a little over an inch. Gotta get in shape, that sucks when you're an...

Savage MKII TR-SR vs CZ 452 - Need help deciding

Re: Savage MKII TR-SR vs CZ 452 - Need help deciding Just picked up my Mark 2 TR on Friday and it shoots very good out of the box. I would expect the TRR model to do as well, you can expect a stiff bolt out of the box but some use should loosen it up, I can already tell mine is getting better...

Rifle Scopes Stiff Mark 4 M3 Dials

Took out the Remington for the first time in over ten years yesterday and could barely turn the elevation and windage dials and could barely feel the clicks. Savage Mark 2 TR

Re: Savage Mark 2 TR Hey rshew2779, did you get your TR yet? Mine came yesterday and is all setup now. Took five rounds of Aguila 60 gr and zeroed it and it's everything and more than I hoped for. I think this ammo isn't going to shoot very well tho with the twist rate of the TR. I've got...

    Savage Mark 2 TR

Re: Savage Mark 2 TR Thanks for any advice guy's, I appreciate it. I'm kind of hung up on what base to use later when I've got a little extra change, I'd like to be able to shoot out to maybe 200 yds, maybe it will work with the stock mounts, I don't know? I've got a Harris bi-pod also that I...
