Hunting & Fishing Experienced .223 Hunters

I am currently using 55g hornady Vmax in the AR for hunting. I am very happy with it. Are there any heavier grained loads that produce like the Vmax out there? I would like a 69-77 grain varient of this product. I've killed a coyote and hog with the 55 Vmax and both were DRT, but the hog was...

    AR 10 & AR15 ?

Re: AR 10 & AR15 ? The argument that .223/5.56 will only wound an animal is total blasphemy. If this were the case then how can a man that hunts with a .357/.44 magnum bag a deer? Considering the fact that at point blank distance a .357 magnum generates the same force as a .223 at 600+ yards...

Which entry level red dot? Or recommendations

Re: Which entry level red dot? Or recommendations Only heard good things about Primary Arms and if $ is low you can get the RedDot, Mount, Magnifyier, and swing mount for less than half the price of a AimPoint or EOTech...thats extremely good value, and ignorance is bliss so if you shoot good...

Re: Factory Ammo for .223/5.56 Settled on the hornady Vmax 55g for the yotes and piglettes...I'll keep a mag of 69g sierra's if bambi sticks his head out, considering my fridge is empty right now.

    Hunting & Fishing Dog breeds?

Re: Dog breeds? I have an American Bulldog and promote them with proper raising as one of the best dogs with children and home protection. Factory Ammo for .223/5.56

Re: Factory Ammo for .223/5.56 I've been plug and playing with JBM calc and it's very consistent with all hornady loads regardless of bullet weight that @ 300yrds they are all around 850 ft/lbs...I'm trying to narrow down at what range i'll still get good expansion.

    Best base rifle for 7mm-08

Re: Best base rifle for 7mm-08 I'm going to buy the base rifle for my build soon and deer hunt with it this season with a cheapo set-up since I won't be worried about more than 300 yard shots on a deer. After that ill start the build and the price range on the build will be around $2000 but...

    Best base rifle for 7mm-08

I will be building a 7mm-08 bolt rifle in the very near future. I am looking for suggestions on the best platform to start my build with. I've looked at the Remington 700 model, Kimber 84, and the Marlin x. I'm assuming I will be buying new barrel and stock so the Kimber is kinda pricey. Any...
