Gunsmithing Moderator siezed to new thread

Re: Moderator siezed to new thread the machinist side of me says grab hold of the barrel with some kind of WELL padded vise, take hold of the "moderator" with a pipe wrench or something of the like and yank on it till it comes loose... but for the rifle's sake, listen to wnroscoe!

Suppressors Titanium suppressors not as good brakes

Re: Titanium suppressors not as good brakes From my understanding, it's not the weight of the can that makes it reduce recoil, it's the dispersion of gasses. kind of like a break with a sleeve over it. gasses "hold" in the can instead of being focused out the end of the bbl... that make any...

Re: 30-06 Experts Input Needed for heavies dont forget H-1000. 1X10 is good for about anything, but in mine, it liked the heavies. i believe that is the twist rate of your rifle but am not positive.

    Suppressors Quick Detach threads.

Re: Quick Detach threads. my thought on the locking would be a DNSi4A thread break, a "V-groove" thread break with a 90* flat bottom face.

    Suppressors Quick Detach threads.

Re: Quick Detach threads. well damn, good idea, but late i guess. as for the wear, take a negative radius tool and round thread starts, lessen the indirect wear from putting acc. on/removing.

    Suppressors Quick Detach threads.

Just had a brief discussion about this in the shout box, but wanted to further discuss it. If you were to single point thread the male, and female threads on a muzzle break/suppressor, then Broach the female end, and Time mill the male end, would this work effectively as a quick detach system...
