    .308 16.5" vs 18" barrel? (Velocity loss and practical differences)

    My thoughts as well I haven't calculated my velocity up yet but I run 44.5gr varget in lapua brass behind a 155gr senar, out of a 26" barrel... With 10" extra barrel I guess I should have high hopes lol

    I guess it could protect the crown but that's not what you should buy it for. It will significantly reduce muzzel jump and make spotting your own shots much easier. With a 20" barrel I say get one but that's one mans opinion.

    Pelican style case help!

    I hope that this is in the right section! I have a case similar to a pelican case that has 2 layers of flat foam in it. I was wondering what the ideal way to cut the foam to the shape of the rifle would be? Should I just give it a whirl with the exacto knife or what?
