    Todd supplied me with the action screws. I don't think the factory screws are the correct lengths, and nope no washers or anything just screws.

    I do not understand the question entirely but the only thing you have to have aside from your barreled action are action screws. That's it, torqued to 65in pounds front and rear and your good to go.

    Question about Remington 700 5R

    When you do upgrade scopes if you aren't going to compete and you are just going to be punching paper every once in awhile I would look at SFP vortex viper PST used here on the hide, or if you don't mind a fixed power SWFA has great fixed 10x, 12x scopes for sub $400.

    Also what are your intended uses for this rifle? A nikon monarch doesn't seem ideal for long range precision shooting.

    If you use a 20 moa scope base, it won't. I run seekins low rings with a 20 moa base and I still have plenty of room on my scope. I even use scope caps.

    Yep I just shot 178 amaxes in my r700 1:12" 26" barrel out to 750 and it was right at an 8" spread, and it was 8-12 mph 1/4 value wind basically the whole day with of course, winds natural tendencies to piss you off lol.     Yes, luckily I don't have a wide foot I wear a regular 11 sized boot. I feel bad for people with very wide feel lol.

    It's funny how much Remington varies. My bullets hit the lands at 2.825" so I load mine at 2.815" lol.

    The lowas seem to be a good general consensus of a well rounded boot. Would a pair of zephyrs last me through 20-30 outings and still be very well serviceable by next janurary? And no this isn't my livelihood by any means but I love hiking/hunting/camping and "ruck" a lot. My pack generally...
