    Gunsmithing Maximum barrel profile for a AX Accuracy International stock

    I have a Rem 700 short action in a AX stock, i am contemplating upgrading the barrel. Anyone able to tell me the maximum barrel profile the AX stock will accept ? Understand 5mm clearance required but the gunsmith is 1500km (932 miles) south, trying to organise everything by email.

    My New 700 setup

    At this stage, I still have the Remington trigger, might be that my stubbie fingers cannot get get into release it. Just thought I had missed something, or needed to purchase another accessory. Plan is to next year have actioned trued and have side release added or replace with custom action...

    I have same stock for my 700 in 223, maybe a dumb question but.....what did you do with bolt release ? I am accessing release through trigger guard and manipulating it with long neck pliers.

    AIC AX Rem700 Upgrade - Bolt Release

    I have just fitted a AIC-AX stock to my Remington 700, having a issue removing the bolt. I think the bolt release is negated in this stock ? If anyone has fitted one of these stocks to a 700 would appreciate any advise on activating bolt release. Love the stock, perfect for what I wanted.

    AICS. 223 mags or convert. 308 steel mag?

    G'Day, cannot help you with your issue but to say I am in the same boat. I am waiting on two AI 223 mags and supplier not returning my emails, national importer let me know there are issues acquiring AI products. I emailed AI in England today about supply of 223 mags and waiting for reply...
