    Noveske switchblock

I can't say why one designer/builder ended up with one design over another, and I'm not an engineer / designer / nor gunsmith. With that out of the way, in viewing pictures of the switchblock, and understanding what it does, and that it will need to be "tuned" to a suppressor, why didnt it have...

GAP-10, Noveske Switch blocks are in!!

Re: GAP-10, Noveske Switch blocks are in!! for future information, if returning the GAP10 for Noveske tuning only, is it necessary to return the whole rifle, or just the upper half?

    AR-10 Barrel fluting question

Re: AR-10 Barrel fluting question I asked about fluting to a custom builder here on this sight. the answer I received was that "Fluting saves about 6 - 8 oz. depending on barrel length". (In an AR10 barrel profile). He further stated that it is definitely noticeable in handling and balance...

    AR10 brake or hider

Re: AR10 brake or hider Holy crap Killshot, I haven't laughed like that in a long time. When things go bad, I want you on my team. Or visa versa. Really now, My concern was taking it hunting. I prefer to project the noise downrange rather than back at me. And I don't care to wear hearing...

    AR10 brake or hider

In the AR10, Is a brake really needed?? I was considering the A2 cage or a Vltor Flash suppressor. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=24288...SOR-COMPENSATOR The brakes are very unfriendly to adjacent shooters and sometimes you. Is there anyone that has built these and been happy/satisfied in...

Suppressors how to configure a GAP10

Re: how to configure a GAP10 What about changing to the the "quicksand" QD style and just putting a vortex or cage on the end? Would that be a better option?

    shorter barrel advantages.

Other than CQB and a little weight reduction, is there any realized advantage? It seems that the 16" barrel is the "packaged offer" with a manufactured rifle (7.62/.308). What's the desire? Why not 18" or 20"? I'm not trying to be confrontational, just learn and understand.

Suppressors how to configure a GAP10

Re: how to configure a GAP10 any down side to just putting a flash hider on the end? A2, vortex , or any others? something with a similar barrel OD as what GAP finishes them in. Then just remove when suppressed, re-install when not? Always learning!!

Suppressors how to configure a GAP10

Placing an order for the GAP10 Monday. I do intend to suppress it at a later date. But I'm not sure as to which suppressor. For the initial rifle order, should I just ask for a threaded barrel and place an A2 type hider until suppressor is decided on? I'm leaning towards the 20" length barrel if...

    GAP10

For those that have recently ordered a rifle, what was their projected lead time to shipped? Yes, I sent them an Email, but never heard back. I'm sure they are really busy.

    $ 4,000.00 Want a semi auto .308 which platform

Re: $ 4,000.00 Want a semi auto .308 which platform I don't intend to "steal" the topic of the O.P. But I'd like to expand on it (a little). I'm sure that for $4K he isn't desiring a battle rifle accuracy. I too am looking to "scratch the itch" with the AR10 purchase. In all the research...

    Sako TRG22 mag

Re: Sako TRG22 mag It would be nice if they (Sako) would drop the price down into a "realistic" range. Even at $140, which is much less than I have ever seen them, it's a ridiculous price gouge. IMO.

    Sako TRG22 mag

Is there an aftermarket alternative to the TRG magazine? I'd like a few more, but not at $200 each.

    powder and accuracy

Re: powder and accuracy Ok, this is going to sound screwy, but if barrel harmonics is one of the variables for accuracy, Then why bed the action and float the barrel? Wouldnt floating the action and bedding the full length of the barrel help eliminate this negative? Sorry for this assumption...

    powder and accuracy

I'm trying to understand the relationship between powder (brands) and accuracy results. To elaborate, If velocity stays the same, bullet weight is fixed, and fired through the same barrel, how can different powders effect external ballistics and accuracy? On a very basic level of understanding...

When is a DPMS LR-308 not .308 ready?

Re: When is a DPMS LR-308 not .308 ready? I was under the impression that 7.62 NATO surplus was a "lower" pressure ammo than commercial .308. ????

    FNAR vs DPMS SASS

Re: FNAR vs DPMS SASS I too am in the same situational dilemma. DPMS is a very popular and good platform, Good accuracy. FNAR appears to have a great following and great out-of-the-box accuracy. A little more traditional look. Largest difference that slaps me hard is the weight differences...
