    6.5 Creedmoor Brass

Can you explain the reason for using the 7mm-08 die vs. just using a 6.5 Creedmoor die? I have a bunch of LC .308 brass I'd like to try and turn into 6.5 Creedmoor. Because I just want to try it, no particular need behind the attempt.

    Fastest GAP turnaround ever?

GAP once bent the fabric of space and time, the rifle actually arrived at my door before I even ordered it. When I called them up to ask what was going on, I found out I was going to be placing the order later that day. True story, bro (not really).

    Great Places To Work?

I'm wrapping up the last class of my MBA, and I'll also be done with my two year stint as a systems engineer in the near future. We (the engineers were brought in as a cohort) have been told it's almost impossible that we won't all be kept on in permanent positions, but I like to keep options...

    I miss Brunhilda

Around 28" if I recall correctly. The 200 yd line at the local range isn't going to be enough for this rifle, I'm going to have to start trekking to the 500 and 1000 yard ranges soon.

    I miss Brunhilda

Another weekend without sweet ole Brunhilda... I had my Remington 700 rebuilt last summer. Blueprinted, fitted with a Krieger barrel chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, an AAC 51T brake installed for the wondrous day when I get a suppressor, and a fluted PTG bolt hand polished for a perfect fit in...

Canada is not free, our SIG rifles were nationally banned by the police today.

I think you're confusing xenophobic propaganda with reality. That's a very cherry picked view. Plenty of Muslims (I would say the vast majority) are contributing members of American society with no ulterior motives. They're not the enemy. Also, foreigners like... U.S. citizens?

Question about a loose barrel nut

The generally accepted practice amongst the local competition AR guys here is to use a minimum torque of 30 ft-lbs on barrel nuts, and then adjust upward just enough to line up the gas port opening. No more than necessary. The first gunsmith was probably working off a similar assumption, but...

What does an appointee being Muslim have to do with anything? Also, if you were trying to reference the nominee for Surgeon General, he's Indian, which doesn't necessarily make him Muslim. Object to his youth, lack of experience, political activism, etc... Don't be a dick and base your...

Seeking business owner to answer some questions for a business school assignment

Hey folks, I'm looking for an entrepreneur/business owner to answer some questions for an assignment in venture development. I'll get into specifics later, but it'll be 4 - 6 short questions about how you picked your field, what made you do it, and problems getting started. If you can spare...

Hunting & Fishing Best pig gun?

    Fake Atlas bipod?

No, the notch for the pin was so shallow the pin wouldn't engage. It looks like the piece was out of alignment when they stamped it. Thanks for assuming you know know enough to judge me. A kitten dies every time you assume something on the internet. And I was out $60 because it doesn't do...

    Anyone using IMR4064?

I've used IMR4064 with good results in both .223 and .308 (both are ARs). With 77gr SMKs and 62gr Nosler FBHPs, my 1:7 16" mid-length gas PSA barrel got me groups at ~1" or better at 100yds. I decided to give it a try after I saw a report from NSWC recommending the powder for use in the...

    Fake Atlas bipod?

I did buy one to use on a .22LR conversion. Here are my impressions on the one I received: It's fairly solid, but the little things are where it differentiates itself from a real Atlas. This one will pan, but it has no tilt function (there's no ball & socket on the knockoff), and the right...

Gunsmithing where to find 3/4 in crush washer?

I don't understand what you mean by 'time the brake,' if it's not a directional brake, it doesn't need to be timed, if it's a directional brake, it needs to be timed, washer or not. Timing the brake would require removing metal from the brake, or the shoulder of the barrel, or flat washers...

Forming 7mm Creedmoor brass from 308

Thanks for the post! I heard a lot of the same when I asked about making Lapua 6.5CM brass, but I like to tinker and develop new skills. Of course, I plan on wrecking some range brass before I start mucking with expensive Lapua brass.

Mega Arms Barrel & Seekins Gas Block Install

I posted the update somewhere else along with some other problems I ran into. Long story short, at 200 yards I had good groups with all sorts of ammo. 147gr ball ammo, unsurprisingly, was the loosest grouping at about 1.5 MOA, M118LR and 175gr SMK handloads (handloads a friend had made for...
