Opinions on Dillon 550 vs 650

guess I'm a slowpoke, best I ever did was 600 rounds of 9mm in an hour on a 650

Opinions on Dillon 550 vs 650

Get the 650, you won't regret it. Good advice here. An alternative to purchasing a powder measure for each tool head would be to keep a few extra powder bars handy and have them already setup/labeled to throw a specific charge. Swapping them into the powder measure is no big deal....but again...

    Hornady Amax 208gr Reloading

I couldn't tell from the OP, but it sounds like you're talking H1000. Just realize there are other Hodgdon powders folks use for 300 WinMag (ie 4831, 4831sc, Retumbo, etc). Be careful asking what max load to use....just want to make sure you are working up to your own load, checking for...

Range Report Applied Ballistics Mobile App

good deal. Hey Doc, Nick, & Bryan: any chance of changing some Android AB code to calculate/populate a wind azimuth from Kestrel Bluetooth compass heading?

Range Report Applied Ballistics Mobile App

here's how I did it, but YMMV: Add a bullet from the custom library, and then select a custom drag profile (ie change it from G1 or G7)...this will take you to the purchase option Screen shots below:

Range Report Applied Ballistics Mobile App

Copy all re: device readings. May give it a try...or may just get the 4500 with AB. However, I had envisioned putting my 4500NV w/BT on a vane for range use. Here's a few pix: - The wind magnitude gets populated along with all other atmospherics...except wind angle - I tried both setting...

AB 1.1.3 for Android While I've got you. Can you comment on the accuracy of using environmentals (temp, pressure, humidity) from device (ie S4 or S5) compared to Kestrel ? Thanks.

Range Report Applied Ballistics Mobile App

Doc, I will do that. But just to be clear: - I am getting wind magnitude into AB but no azimuth - Ventus is receiving both magnitude & azimuth

Range Report Applied Ballistics Mobile App

DocUSMC, Bryan, or anyone - I've searched and not found answers to this issue: - Wind Azimuth (aka direction) doesn't seem to be utilized via Bluetooth in my Android AB app (I verified that the Kestrel is properly feeding wind azimuth via Bluetooth in the DRS Ventus Android application) - Is...

300 WM Brass Question "GFI" Fioccichi

Is it GFI or GFL ? http://cartridgecollectors.org/?page=headstampcodes I also used some 223 GFL brass with no issues. Before we knew GFL stood for "Giulio Fiocchi, Lecco (Italy)" we joked it must mean "Good Frick'n Load" Let us know how your 300wm works out.

Loading Issues 7.62x51 Lake City Brass

A few questions: - Just to confirm, are you talking once-fired milsurp (ie NATO headstamp), possibly M60 fired? - to what length did you trim? - did you run any of your resized/trimmed brass thru a case gage? - have you been able to run any other ammo thru your CMMG? BTW-problems are often not...
