Rifle Scopes What scope has the most windage available on the turret?

Yes, it was pretty windy. My kestrel measured 12 to 15 mph winds, but we were blocked by trees and topology. The wind between the hills must have been a bit more. Using a shooting app we calculated that uniform 21mph winds would have given us deflections like that. After looking around a bit...

Rifle Scopes What scope has the most windage available on the turret?

Yeah, that's pretty much what I did. It's a 6.5 creedmoor which needed 24.2 mils of elevation and depending on gusts about 8 to 10 mils of wind. The Kahles is mounted on 40moa-ish cant (20moa on the base and 6mils on the spuhr), so it topped out at 22 and a bit. I've got the skmr3 reticle in...

Rifle Scopes What scope has the most windage available on the turret?

I was out yesterday shooting at 1830 yards and I needed 8 to 10 mils of windage to impact the target. My Kahles maxes out at just over 6mils, and my nightforce Beast is about the same. I looked at the Tangent Theta, and they list 10mils, but I found some pictures online that appear to indicate...

Rifle Scopes Advice on picking a scope nf or razor

I'm surprised to hear that there is a perception that the Vortex Razor is less than a brute. I would be interested in reading about what led longhot2000 to that conclusion as well...

Rifle Scopes NF ATACR Parallax Knob

Yeah, probably not then. I would talk to Nightforce about it. I'm not sure how much help you're going to get on the forums for a problem like that. Good luck!

Rifle Scopes NF ATACR Parallax Knob

I've got the Nightforce Beast, so it's not exactly the same. But I found that there were issues with the parallax turret when I tightened the Spuhr ring screws to 25 in-lbs. The issue went away when I only used 15 in-lbs though. Maybe you're seeing something like that with the Atacr.

Rifle Scopes Scope A.D.D.: What do you do with your "extra" optics?

I really enjoyed watching that Hensoldt on the scope PX. My wife told me to just buy the thing already, but I could't do it. I'm glad someone finally got to pull the trigger on that thing. Good for you!

It looks like it's only an MOA version. Is that right?

Rifle Scopes Scope A.D.D.: What do you do with your "extra" optics?

It's unusual to get a chance to compare these high end scopes side by side, so it seems like the natural situation to wonder what you might be missing with the other options. I get that. I only have one rifle. But I think to myself, "I wonder is the S&B (model whatever) would be better than...

    Rifle Scopes US Optics B-17

I'm not sure it comes down to being an all or nothing type of person. To me it seems like without the windage being tool-less as well the feature becomes moot. I'm looking seriously at buying the b-17, but I don't consider the tool-less adjust of the elevation turret to be an asset since I...

    Rifle Scopes US Optics B-17

What's the benefit of a half-tool-less adjustment? The tangent theta is tool-less. And most other scopes require a tool to reset the turrets. But I have to ask, why would USoptics make only one turret tool-less adjustable?

    Rifle Scopes US Optics B-17

I have a question about these scopes. It looks like the elevation turret is a tool-less design while the windage turret requires a hex key to reset it. Is that the case? Is this scope kind of half tool-less?

    Rifle Scopes March 2.5x25 eyebox

Out of curiosity, where does the Hensoldt 3.5-26x56 fit in your analysis? I've heard that it is very forgiving in terms of eye position. It seem over priced, but that probably because I haven't seen one in person. I'd love to hear that it far exceeds all expectations, and all that...

Rifle Scopes SPUHR vs. RRS mounts

I like the extra length you've given the mount. If I'm not mistaken it's a bit longer than the regular spuhr and a bit shorter than the B series spuhr. I use the longer B series spuhr for anything I can since that appeals to the engineer part of me. I'm looking at the S&B 3-20 ultra short...

    Rifle Scopes March 2.5x25 eyebox

What is it that makes the Kahles k624i different from the Nightforce Beast, say, in terms of the sensitivity to eye location since they have the same objective size and similar powers? Is there something else about the optical system that creates that sensitivity?

Rifle Scopes Scope for 375 Cheytac ELR

For ELR it seem like you'd want to lean toward something with a lot of elevation. The S&B 3-27 would be a good choice as well as the nightforce Beast/Atacr. The S&B 3-20 ultra short has the same amount of elevation as the 3-27 high power from S&B. Some of the others like the Tangent Theta and...
