    PTG Stealth Bottom Metal

Re: PTG Stealth Bottom Metal As long as you like the extended magwell it is just as nice as any of the other systems out there.

    Reloading at the range

Re: Reloading at the range What vials do you use for pre-weighed charges? I've been looking into doing this myself and was curious about what worked best.

    Why choose a folding stock?

Re: Why choose a folding stock? For me it makes traveling much easier and allows my rifle to fit into an assortment of discrete cases. A ratty looking tennis racquet bag draws much less attention than a pelican or tactical looking soft case.

Stock choice, unsure which to get

Re: Stock choice, unsure which to get I much prefer a vertical grip stock as well. For me it allows a more comfortable, relaxed hand position, and it makes it much easier to get a proper trigger finger placement/orientation.

Are Seekins rings twice as good as Burris XTR ring

Re: Are Seekins rings twice as good as Burris XTR ring My Burris XTR's were very poor quality. Straight out of the unopened package 2 sets of threads were horribly mangled, they were obviously out of alignment on a Badger base, and the finish was chipped and marred. You get what you pay for.

    Gunsmithing Smoother action

Re: Smoother action Lots of shooting and dry firing has smoothed my SPS tac bolt very nicely. If it hasn't been used much it just takes a bit of time for any burrs to get knocked down and everything to find its happy place. Also, every few times I have the rifle out I make sure to clean and...

Rifle Scopes Best Bang for My Buck?

Re: Best Bang for My Buck? I have a 3200 10x40 mil/mil on a very similar rig and it has served me extremely well. I have drug it through pretty rough stuff and it has always stayed clear and tracked perfectly. The matching adjustments and reticule are huge, and I haven't seen anything that...

    .223 and Varget....?

Re: .223 and Varget....? It works extremely well in my 69 smk loads, I don't think there is any reason to think it would do any worse behind a 70 vld.

    Your Thoughts on 243 Accuracy

Re: Your Thoughts on 243 Accuracy My .243 has always shot much better than I can. In the right hands, not nessicerily mine, it has shot easily below 1/2 MOA from a bi-pod. Benchmark Barrels put the rifle together. For me this is all the accuracy I need and then some for the type of shooting...

    Chassis Systems

Re: Chassis Systems I just got a McRees stock and am hugely impressed with it. Everything is adjustable, there are flush cups everywhere you could want them, and you can change nearly every part to suit your needs, including the action center section. It is slightly hefty, but at least in...

    HBN coating kit?

I have been impressed with the factory coated 115 dtac's I have shot out of my .243 and am now looking into coating some .224 bullets. So I was wondering if anyone had experience with Tubb's coating kit? http://www.davidtubb.com/boron-nitride-coating-bullets Or would I be better off putting...
