Dip your bullet in the dry lube before you seat it instead of dipping your necks in it. After seating, wipe the round with a paper towel to get any that was above the neck line.
I can hold mine to +- .001" with most closer than that on my measuring system. Of course, I am measuring with a caliper that has .001" accuracy with a clamp on device holding an aluminum comparator. I won't say the entire system is even capable of actually measuring +- .001", but it is what I...
As the brass hardens it doesn't take the "set" from the die as well as when it was soft. It springs back. So if you are using a bushing die to get .002" smaller neck before seating your bullet, it might spring back meaning you no longer have .002" smaller neck. If the cases are hardened...
I think a Bisley reamer has .080 throat length. It is set up for 155 gr bullets for Palma. Why did you get a barrel chambered with that reamer?
If this is what you have, you might think about having the chamber throated out longer for shooting 175-200 gr bullets. Shooting the larger bullets...
You should try taking a box of new Lapua and anneal some cases. Test them against some non-annealed cases from the same box. You might be surprised what you find.
Have you been following the scope test thread or seen the test on the Precision Rifle blog? It appears that all these years people were wrong about NF glass having so so glass. Apparently the glass is really good.
Batteries do last about a month. They are cheap and you can get them at Wal Mart. I ordered a bulk pack on Amazon, so I am set for a long time. No big deal if the batteries run out. They are just ear plugs at that point, but good ones still.
I called them before I bought them. They said if I could use the large black foam buds that I could get 40 db reduction with them. I am using the large black foam buds and I believe it. I have used 33NR foamies with muffs over them. I think these are better than that. I suffer from...
Ah, the great scope test. Arbiter of all things scope like, and the definer of scopiness.
What is the difference in an 8.8 score and a 9.1 score? How many lines of resolution?
Were any of the scope viewers wearing glasses? Contacts? If they weren't, did they need to be? Any of them...
I don't own a Henny, S & B, or a Zeiss. I'm not sure how I'm even getting on paper.
I was mildly pleased to find out my NXS will resolve USAF lines at a really high level. Now if I could shoot somewhere that had USAF lines on their 1000 yd targets, I could seriously fuck some shit up.
