Re: FMJ's ok? What caliber is it? If it's 223 Remington, just get a case of Wolf for $200 online.

Putting steel cased ammo through nice ARs?

Re: Putting steel cased ammo through nice ARs? It does expand like brass. Try using a pair of calipers and compare them. You can also reload boxer-primed steel cases without too much issue.

So I ordered a chrongraph! Now What??

Re: So I ordered a chrongraph! Now What?? Essentially what I use a chronograph for are two things: 1. Evaluate the consistency of my work. 2. Make ballistics tables for my loads. When I'm loading what I refer to as match rounds I'm hoping for a standard deviation of the low single...

No sniper rifle but my Swiss K31 shoots .5 moa

Re: No sniper rifle but my Swiss K31 shoots .5 moa I believe those who keep historic firearms should keep them as historic firearms by not altering them permanently. If it's missing the stock, find a replacement. They are not supposed to be modern rifles as the majority of their value...

No sniper rifle but my Swiss K31 shoots .5 moa

Re: No sniper rifle but my Swiss K31 shoots .5 moa And another K-31 bites the dust. Buy a modern rifle and leave the historic ones to those of us that can appreciate them without making permanent modifications.

What powder scale is everyone using?

Re: What powder scale is everyone using? RCBS 5-0-5 If it was crap my chronograph wouldn't spend most of its time telling me: DUP1 Or giving me single digit standard deviation numbers. Manual beam scales are surely not as fast as electronic scales but they always work whether you have...

    223 loading question

Re: 223 loading question I load a lot of 223 progressively using that same lube. I put the brass in a tub after tumbling then do about 3-4 2 second sprays on the brass and mix them by hand. The sizing die gets about a 1 second spray inside of it then blown dry. Just be careful with that stuff...

    FEDERAL Brand .45 ACP !!! WARNING !!!

Re: FEDERAL Brand .45 ACP !!! WARNING !!! It's nothing to worry about. You're just oblivious to what you're doing when reloading. Had several KBs this year I take it as well? lol I separate my 45 ACP brass by headstamp and then primer size. You just need two different charges depending on...

LNL Progressive - best flowing powders?

Re: LNL Progressive - best flowing powders? How you operate the handle when charging a case does make a difference with powder charges. So when you load don't forget to make a consistent pull each time. I've had good success with W748 lately and loaded ~100 rounds the other day using 26.5...
