Looking for a MPA Vertical grip, like the ones that come on the newer chassis. My chassis came with the standard A2 grip and looking to try out a newer more vertical grip.
Thanks!
Mike
I thought on a previous thread in here they were swapping them out for a $300 fee. I thought about as I would too prefer the dot center but It's not enough of a change for $300. Now if they had added the center dot and moved the numbers out to the edges then I would be boxing mine up right...
Sounds like yours might be the "Competition" one, do they have the magwell cutout on the side? I took my monopod off as well, probably hold on to it until I forget I have it and then try to sell.
maybe something like this?

its even 30mm.
On a side note, those with the MPA chassis, were you expecting to get the barricade stop with the chassis? According to just about every picture of the chassis it was supposed to come with it. The Lite version doesn't and rightfully doesn't picture it. The competition model doesn't come with...
6.5 Creedmoor, I figured I would jump aboard. This is also my first Remington style action after running Savages for the last 15 years. Kinda cheated a bit with the floating bolt head and Savage nut. :)
Just starting to get this one together and working on loads. Going to paint the action soon but had to get a few shots through it first after the wait. Bugholes chambered barrel, MPA chassis, TL3, Timney trigger, Magpul AICS, Vortex Razor.
I just finished a TL3 with MPA chassis and using a single MagPul magizine for now and so far it works fine. The only thing I thought might be a problem is that it doesn't seem to allow the round to angle up a tad and "aim" into the chamber. If I try to chamber a round slowly, it kinda jams up...
Depending the size of scope and rifle config, this Euro bag has worked perfectly for the last 9 years of range trips:

It appears discountinued but you can still get it at quite a few stores online.
This looks to be the replacement...
I'll have to dig through my notes to look for the specs on the motors. I spent weeks trying to figure out what would be best so I don't remember exactly what I ended up with. The controller is the Gecko G540. I remember that I picked close the max on its specs. The Z axis was a monster and...
Agree with above. I switched to one of the PID designs a while back, got it from Ebay. With a few seals replaced on the oven, I can keep the temp within .5 degrees all day. Coupled with a good Solid State Relay and you should be set. I need to update my original oven thread on here to show...
Re: Picatinny rail vs dual dovetail
I'm with DK. Either a solid rail or for the ultimate in smooth, strong, simple setup for hunting, look at these: http://www.dnzproducts.com/
I ran one for a couple of years on my 308 with a Vortex Viper 6-24. Never had any problems. Fit perfectly and...
Re: savage target action screw spacing?
Found this online for you:
http://www.savageshooters.com/content.php?128-Savage-Action-Lengths
Apparently there is an odd ball spacing for the dual and palma versions. I haven't messed with either of those yet.
I'll have to dig through my journals...
Re: savage target action screw spacing?
Yes, the target actions share the 4.4" spacing of the front and rear screws. Don't remember the exact center screw spacing but can look it up when I get to my notes.
Re: FFL 07 quandary
I really enjoy having my FFL and have a small business on the side of my day-job to use it (out of the home but I live out of town so no problems there).
I wanted to do things correctly when I started so I read as much as I could and that's where I found the tax issue...
