    Chronograph Question

Re: Chronograph Question RE the PVM, does the data stream feed directly to the computer or is the USB port just to download the data to the computer later? Also it appears that you need 120Vac to power a 12Vdc lump-in-line source for the PVM. Is this correct? If so, it's of no use to me as...

    Chronograph Question

Anyone aware of a chronograph that interfaces with a laptop/netbook via USB. What I mean is one that consists of a chrono "head" unit that interfaces directly with the computer running the chrono software vs simply being able to download the data to a computer. With inexpensive netbooks...

    West TN rifle ranges?

Re: West TN rifle ranges? It's a bit of a haul from Paris (I'm originally from Humboldt) but there is MSSA in Memphis. There range goes out to 600 yds. and they put on F class and HP matches among other stuff. MSSA This site has listings for ranges in all states and includes maps...

Gunsmithing Torque for piller bedded action

Re: Torque for piller bedded action You did mean 65 inch pounds, did you not? I would say that one of the prime reasons, other than it's spec, at leat on 700 actions, is repeatability. I've removed and retorqued my primary rifle a couple of times with no change in zero.

Advanced Marksmanship A simple sling/bipod method

Re: A simple sling/bipod method Greg asked Shane early on if the rear part of the sling was loose or if disconnected from the stock. Try using the loose rear portion of the sling instead of a bag. Currently I have a section of M16 sling on my rifle that I use instead of a bag. I wear a HP...

    Gunsmithing AICS Action Screws?

Anyone know the proper size hex wrench to use on the action screws in an AICS? It appears that I don't have the proper size wrench. It's always something.

210m's in stock at Natchez ** all gone now**

Re: 210m's in stock at Natchez Nice to see that some of you were able to get them. Personally I say the **** with them. Refuse to sell in AL because they don't want to upset their dealers, catch is they don't have any dealers, in N. AL at least. Catch 22.

Gunsmithing So you want to build an Ar15?

Re: So you want to build an Ar15? Understood, just didn't want someone to buy a .223 chambered barrel during their build and then shoot 5.56 ammo as they may or may not encounter a prob. Good post BTW.

    Lapua Brass Question

Re: Lapua Brass Question Thanks for the info trigger time. I can get my hands on 50 once fired (by me) and 50 virgin Lapua cases that I sold to a friend a couple of years ago. He's never used it and will sell it back. Guess I'd better call him. Hell I have to borrow my old Redding dies...

Gunsmithing So you want to build an Ar15?

Re: So you want to build an Ar15? Admitting that I've never built one, wouldn't going with 5.56 vs. .223 be the better option? We've all heard of possible pressure problems using 5.56 in a .223 chambered AR, but not the other way around. Not trying to pick nits but...
