    F T/R Competition Bipod for Accuracy International for F-TR

    I use a Sinclair on my AIAE MK3 .308 24" plain bbl. Use the Atlas bipod spigot mount, Atlas bipod "AFAR" kit, and pic rail to sling lug adapter. It is kind of Rube Goldberg, but it works. I think that having a "longer wheelbase" is advantageous over a shorter one.

    Mine does! LR-308 14" w/AAC Cyclone. 24 grains 4350 powder under a 220 grain 30-30 bullet. I did several mag dumps without a hiccup yesterday. YMMV

    howa 1500 .308 rifle

    You can't go wrong with Sierra Match King 175 grain bullets. I used them out to 1000 yds in my Howa 24" .308 1/10. Now I use them in my AI-AE 24" 1/12 at 2670 ft/sec MV. Fairlane.....Are you sure that your barrel is 1/12? I am almost positive that all Howa .308s are 1/10. Look here: Legacy...

    I once had a Remington 700 Mountain Rifle in 7mm mag. I tried everything, factory ammo, several different bullets and powders, nothing worked. I decided that I was spending too much time on it, so I sold it and cut my losses.

    custom rifle accuracy vs standard factory vs high end factory

    AI-AE MK3. I removed it from the box, switched my scope, rings and all from the old rifle, slapped on a Harris bipod, used some of the loads made for the old rifle, shot a few rounds at 100 and 300 for zero. A week later, I was hitting a man-sized target at 1000 yds. in a F-T/R match.

    Howa 1500 LA take off barrel

    I have read that it is a real bitch removing the barrel from a Howa. To the point that most smiths will cut it off close to the receiver, then bore it out real thin to make it easy. You might have trouble finding one.
