Heaviest 30 cal. round (High BC) for the 308 Winchester in a Semi-Auto??

The alpha mags are AI compatible and can take max COALs of up to 2.920 in the 308 model. This doesn't help for most (any?) gas guns.

This is good. We get our own lock and multiple keys and we're in business. I'll sign up as a key holder. I need the range time.

To the tick turds that keep hoarding the .22 lr stores, I will be laughing hard

Actually, things frequently get cheaper. Generally speaking if technology is the gating factor in a price that price is going down because tech scales and competition drives prices down. This isn't even adjusting for inflation. This is true even for things that are relatively limited in...

    .260 "replacement" and cases "manufacturing"

I tried 4831SC, 4350 and RL 19 and settled on the 4831SC. Fastest I got was mid 2700s but those weren't the most accurate loads. Eventually settled on 48.6 (yes, that's high) pushing Berger 140s running close to ~2600. Not the fastest but I like the precision. Remington brass, CCI BR primers...

I think what you most want is play. The more the plate can move the better. And steel type seems to matter. My AR500 plates ring like bells. I only sometimes heard the steel out at Acme last time I was there using my 308 but I could see the strikes so it was all good.

    .260 "replacement" and cases "manufacturing"

I looked at the specs up. They are small. I noticed you use 4831SC - love that powder. Not the hottest but it's incredibly consistent. I keep trying others & keep going back.

Your thought on my OCW test?

As pell said - I'd play around in the top end (46.4 has an *extremely* good ES) and then twiddle OAL next, but I'm OCD like that. I shoot 4 rounds instead of three on my round robins now - I think it helps in particular with ES to have the extra shot. Are you weighing your cases and bullets? I...

Let me know the next time you are headed up to Winthrop. I have two plates installed that ought to still be there, accessible on a logging road. They are about a half-day hike to get to so I'm planning on just leaving them up. AR500 and painted camo so they are hard to spot.

In both cases I found the gates were old logging gates that had been converted for use by locals to keep passers-by out. But yeah, I'm always worried about getting locked in as well.

I bought a 260 bull from NSS and cut it down to 20 inches for the Savage rifle I built to take HART at Thunder Ranch. It's a bit of a truck axle. It's also incredibly accurate, easy to maneuver, and has very little recoil. Short Boomershoot video of 6 inch reactive targets at 700 yards...

Rifle Scopes Schmidt & Bender "implosion"?

Pricing is what the market will bear. That's it. It isn't arbitrary, it's based on what people are willing to pay, and one of the ways you can affect that is via marketing. Demand gen lets you raise prices or lower them to gain MSS. If you want MSS you lower prices, if you want ASP you add...
