    Sidearms & Scatterguns Customizing 1911

Re: Customizing 1911 There's a bit of a learning curve with 1911s. Putting together a gun that will function can be done with a little bit of elbow grease, asking around, and reading. Putting together a gun that won't self destruct(premature parts wear) over a high round count takes a bit...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Conceled Carry for the active life style.

Re: Conceled Carry for the active life style. Most guys I know go with some form of chest rig type holster for running. Survival Sheath Systems a really nice low profile rig that conceals well under light clothing. I use a Hill People Gear chest rig when I run. The Hill People Gear chest...

Re: Glock FTF issues with Lights? The issues with G22s and lights are well documented. Go over to 10-8 forums and they have a bunch of info there.

Safe smoke and fire seal, triple seal

Re: Safe smoke and fire seal, triple seal I think MP15s idea is an excellent solution.

Safe smoke and fire seal, triple seal

Re: Safe smoke and fire seal, triple seal As long as the room is concrete and built below the level of the main structure you should be good. I learned this first hand when I was a kid. A big house on a hill near mine burned to ashes. I went poking around a few weeks later and stumbled on a...

Safe smoke and fire seal, triple seal

Re: Safe smoke and fire seal, triple seal The fireman up top is right. I was a locksmith for a number of years and have had to get into many gunsafes that have went through fires. Firesafes don't help much. Regardless of the quality of safe, most of the contents are in very bad shape. The...

    Luminox Watches

Re: Luminox Watches I've had bad luck with them. Been through 2, one with a broken crystal and the other just stopped. G-shocks since then with no problems.

    Suppressors Govt. surplus M1911A1's

Re: Govt. surplus M1911A1's There was an article in a firearms publication about a department that did exactly as you are wanting to do but I can't remember which. It seems like a good deal and a department that I worked for considered doing the same. As someone mentioned above, it turned...

Maggie’s Oh how his dad must, be proud...

Re: Oh how his dad must, be proud... Yep, it's kinda funny how cons know how to deal with rapist and cho-mo's (child molesters) better than our justice system does. They certainly took care of Jeffrey Dahmer in an appropriate manner.

    Rifle Scopes Vortex scope question

Re: Vortex scope question I've used both the 1-4X20 PST and the 1-4X20 Razor. I liked the PST more than the Razor, especially the reticle. The FFP of the Razor at low power doesn't seem quite as useful as 1X of the PST.

Rifle Scopes Experience Opinions on NF 2.5-10x32

Re: Experience Opinions on NF 2.5-10x32 It's an excellent scope for the money. I use them on precision AR platforms and my hunting rifle. The version with the MILDOT reticle is a little thin for fast and furious stuff but is perfect for smaller targets out a ways. It's my preferred...

Which SEI Vortex for LMT MWS?

I like SEIs Vortex flash hiders and I'm trying to figure out which one to order for my LMT MWS. There are several choices of this part in the 5/8-24 thread count. Has anyone installed one on their LMT? Do you need to turn down/mod the barrel?
