    i was at Khe Sanh , med evac door gunner, kept out H34 in the revetments. I stayed in a shell crater near by, Evil eyes painted on the front clam shells.

    I really miss my Rubi. 3.6 auto, 4.56 gears and 37 inch tires. It made a round trip from LA to Texas with 5 people. Crawled everything I pointed it's nose at. Best damn truck I ever had. Upgraded everything. medical problems forced the sale or I would still be wheeling instead of shooting.

    Which Cartridge for the 7mm 180gr ELD-M?

    I'm shooting 300 WM right now. The plan is to change to a 7/300 when the barrel goes. I'll have all that brass to fall back on. I'm only shooting Hornady brass to keep things the same. Brass was cheap. 76.5 grains H1000 208 grain Hornadys. I'm watching and learning from all these threads.

    You squeeze the trigger recruit. Put your finger tip on that loading board. Im gonna smack it with this piece of wood and you better not jerk it away. You will always remember to squeeze the trigger after that. Flinching got a loading board in the shoulder. Edison Range, Camp Pendleton 1965

    I bought a used 300WM. It's shooting pretty good right now but as I get better I am already thinking about the 7/300 combo. I have the brass and doing the neck would be easy. Not a lot of info on it though.

    Would there be any differences between 6, 5,or 3 groove rifling in the initial yaw of the bullet leaving the barrel? I am asking because my thinking tells me that a larger volume 3 groove gas pathway could have larger tolerance cross sectional areas. Whereby the volume of gas in each pathway...

    Yeah I have so much to learn. This is so far hands down the best forum I’ve found. Lots of activity. Plenty of ideas I’m sure in 6 months to a year there will be new wiz bang toys to drool over and I’ll know much better what suits my abilities.

    Wow I’ve looked at a bunch of great actions today. I’m leaning toward just a tune to get me thru the learning period. I have so very much to learn. I truly had no clue which one of those fit my needs. Maybe after a few Thousand rounds down range I’ll be able to make a knowledgeable decision...
