    following the vapor trail

Misuse of terminology on my part, my apologies. What I'm hearing is: 1. turn down magnification 2. slightly out of focus 3. if conditions aren't right, it is what it is Anything I'm missing?

    following the vapor trail

Seeking advice. I have looked through cheap $120 units that suck and I have seen through $3k Swaros and NightForce. I still can't see a vapor trail. Because I'm not rich, and the range I use has these and they are good, I bought a Hawke ENDURANCE ED 25-75x85. In short, it's the operator, not...

    seating die question

Redding type S bushing die set Any day I should be getting my 7-08AI back and I have 200 pieces of brass to load and form. Wanted to see if there will be any problems seating with the die that comes in this set. I'm pretty sure only the sizing die is obviously different than standard 708, am I...

    seating die question

Bear with me because I'm new to loading. If a person buys a bushing die set the seating die is the same as a standard set, right?

Rifle Scopes distance between scope rings

bout to put these Seekins rings on the EGW mount, by my way of thinking the rings should be as far apart as operationally possible, Is there a better more experienced theory on this matter?

    Mr. Scott Parker, scale accurizing.

I emailed him about 3 weeks ago asking if he could tune my scale and if not what kind do I need to send to him. He responded 2-3 days later (plenty fast for my liking) that he could sell me one of his for $185. I did not take him up on that as I'm still considering digital.

    Rifle Scopes 30mm rings

That's the downside of asking for advice on the internet. Some responses are irrelevant, some responses don't address what you asked, and a few responses are valuable. You just have to sift through them. You my friend are focused. A+

    Rifle Scopes 30mm rings

what's the best... just kidding, I am going to buy my first pair of quality (hopefully) rings for my new scope. Please recommend rings at or under $100 that you are pleased with. I like things made in the USA. Made in Texas is even better but a stretch. Thanks for your recommendations.

    Gunsmithing torque wrench

WOW. I was just hoping to get advise on an average Joe's torque wrench. I did not mean to start this chit. I'm new here and am in no way telling anybody how to handle things. I will say this though, in the last month I have been to 2 matches and at these matches heard 3 guys say they don't come...

    round count for development?

I have only loaded for my 6.8mm and was loading only in increments of .5gr of powder from the listed minimum. 10 each until I reached pressure. I'm about to load 308 for a bolt rifle I'm demanding more precision from. I'm thinking 5, five shot groups is a minimum before I can get a good idea...

    brass cleaning frequency

I'm sure you can tell I'm not experienced enough yet to get the expensive dies. I may be more concerned in the future but for now, as long as they aren't gritty from a dive in the dirt/mud I'm more concerned with getting my experience loading and getting trigger time.

    brass cleaning frequency

If the die is made of steel and the case is brass I think the case should fear the scratch more. I don't see me cleaning much brass unless someone else comes along and changes my way of thinking.

    brass cleaning frequency

I didn't feel right hijacking the recently posted thread about rock tumblers so I created a new one. I hope it's cool, I try not to ask too many question but rather read read read and learn. I already had a HF cheapo tumbler for ball milling pyro compositions prior to reloading and at my pace...

    neck turning for uniformity

Are you guys doing it? Which one do you use? I'm considering the K&M w/ drill adapter or the Hornady but don't know anyone using them personally.
