    Question about eye protection

We have all had times when we got careless and didn't put them on, but they are really one of the most important thing in shooting. In my opinion ear protection is first. I actually go with double plugs for rifles and some pistols. On a side note of eye protection, you should also wear them...

    What primers are these

I think your barking up a dangerous tree. I don't know that I'd trust a company to use the same color every time for years. Or that another company hasn't made the same thing. Maybe it's me but I'd rather soak them then risk breaking my gun, or my self.

    My load development

Ok thanks for the info. I loaded 6 at 44.6gr, figured it was in the middle, library them Thursday. What kind of velocity do you get with that?

    My load development

Ok guys, I just got back from the rang with some disappointing results. I haven't shot in a few months, and assumed I would be fin. not really but whatever. After doing my ocw at 200yards with a 168gr Berger VLD Federal gold metal brass, and federal 210 primers, With varget starting at 42gr, and...

    First Build w/Pics

Nikon Buckminster has tactical 1/8 moa adjustment. I love mine, it makes it to 600 yards no problem, I know with a 20 map base it has plenty of adjustment to reach 1000 yards. I love mine, and it is just as clear as my buddy's nf. They are available with different radicals. Mine cost like $450...

    Berger 168gr match hunting vld

Ok, next time I make an order I will get one. That's very interesting. Maybe when supplies allow I will test that. I'm shooting a .308, remington 700 heavy fluted barrel. I believe it's a 24 or 26 inch barrel.

    Berger 168gr match hunting vld

Do I need to use a vld reburing tool to use them? Or can you get away with a regular debuting tool? Also, it's nice to know they can reach out there. Can't wait to get some loaded up!

    Berger 168gr match hunting vld

Good to know. Cabelas had been pretty well stocked on them. Still waiting on ma few more things before I can put loads together. I picked a bad time to start reloading.

    Berger 168gr match hunting vld

Haha, that makes my life easyer. I figured they wouldn't work for a compatition anyway,iv heard 168s don't do well at 1000. But the serias 168s iv been shooting have done fine at 600 yards. I couldn't find any 175s, the had 190grs but that seemed a little heavy.

    Berger 168gr match hunting vld

well, I was ordering bullets and thought I was ordering match berger bullets. then found out they are match hunting bullets. My question is will the berger 168gr match hunting vld bullets be accurate enough to shoot sub moa at 600yards with proper load workup? also, has anyone tried seria 150 mk...

New to Long Range Shooting (sorta)

In my opinion the best way to learn is to ask. There is no reasion for some guys to feel the need to give people crap for a question. If you are looking for a cheap pritty good little scope for a .22 I have the bsa sweet 22 on my savage and love it. I zerod that thing 2 years ago and it still...

New to Long Range Shooting (sorta)

Yes, tactical precition matches have targets from 0 to past 1000 yards. Many times you may not be given the distance of your target. Even some fclass matches will change distance. I believe they can start there first string at 200, the next at 400, then at 600 and so on. Even my .22...

New to Long Range Shooting (sorta)

Hi there, I think the use of a variable power scope is different for everyone. I shoot a Nikon with a 6-18. At 100 yards if i had that thing on 16 I probably wouldn't see much of my target. The problem with is is, 1) unprovoked much harder to. find the target with the optic, and two much harder...
