As long as the scope isn't touching, is there such a thing as it being too low? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Starting with a (almost) blank slate

Starting with a (almost) blank slate The Calvin Elite trigger, when sold through a dealer, is not fully factory adjusted to weight. It was actually breaking at about 6oz out of the box. A few turns of the trigger weight screw and I now have it set to a very crisp 1lb. Timney says that 8oz...

Rifle Scopes Scope bases, to bed or not to bed?

The last time I had to ask myself whether or not to bed (insert noun), I was a young single man. Resigned to the fact that factory rifle actions are not usually micrometer true, I sat down in front of my new .308 Remington 700P with the new scope base rail, thin feeler gauges, some paper...

Starting with a (almost) blank slate

So far I have a Larue 20MOA base and an Atlas bipod on order for my new .308 w/ 26" bbl Rem 700 P. I've yet to decide on much of anything else other than a bolt knob upgrade and bbl threading. Leaning toward Short Action Customs for that work. My gun club range has positions out to...

    Crusty FNG from Central Florida
