    Primers

I've heard sellior and belliot primers are good I bought a couple thousand in small rifle and large rifle to try. At $20 per thousand out the door I wasn't complaining. Cabelas has them. I personally think regular ccis are horrible and I won't pay for the brs. I like the federal but can never...

I suggest a lee classic cast if you have to buy new amazon had them for about $105 shipped but otherwise search around on Craigslist and other places for a used press. I got my coax for under $100 used, my hornady for $25 nos, rcbs rc $60, hornady ap $200. The deals are out there you just gotta...

Gunsmithing Cutting lug abutments and lugs

It will be for a prs rifle but how would I make sure to hold the bolt tight against the lugs as I'm checking with the indicator? Or would you suggest a depth indicator and just measuring around? Thankyou

Gunsmithing Cutting lug abutments and lugs

Ok the plan is to just sneak a boring bar in there and cut it if need be. Anything else I should true besides the action face and actual bolt lugs? I don't have the tools or time to ream the action and sleeve the bolt so that's out. Is bolt face truing recommended? I wasn't planning on it.

Gunsmithing Cutting lug abutments and lugs

One lug is floating currently and I'm not worried about headspace as I'll be chambering a new barrel but when I get it set up I'll do as you guys say and check how far out it is. Now besides extraction can is there anything else I should worry about? Say maybe ignition timing? I know there are...

Gunsmithing Cutting lug abutments and lugs

So I'll be doing a little truing on my howa action before I rebarrel it. Now I get how to set it up but I was planning on just lapping the lugs in but I read that can cause problems in itself so I'd like to know what do you guys think about me just cutting the lug abutments while I cut the...

    AI, Sako or Mausingfield for....

Well I hear what you are saying ledzep But precision and accuracy tend to mean tight tolerances and good matching while that fn spr is loose as a goose from the factory and I can throw it in mud pull it out and it's still gonna feed while as soon as you start getting small bits of rock in that...

    AI, Sako or Mausingfield for....

I guess the dbm situation is a thing but for $100 you can pickup a ptg bottom metal that takes Ai mags and while it ain't the prettiest it gets the job done. Honestly I'm just talking about what you first mentioned a strong durable will alway works extract and feed rifle but still some accuracy...

    AI, Sako or Mausingfield for....

Is something like a win 70 not in the cards? Or does it have to be a "precision action" . I think most of the crf actions are really gonna be better for reliability and always working. Besides that for a pushfeed I like the Howa but I personally am a fan of action with integral recoil lugs as...

.260ai vs 6.5 creed in a new howa build

Yea that's another thing sandblasting will be difficult for me as I sold most of my sandblasting equipment so I'd have to buy more of that. I was just going to scuff for the duracoat and if it's that bad it's easy to strip and reapply vs ceracoat is only going to come off with sandblasting. It's...

Can anyone approximate the .308 Winchester Federal Gold Match 175gr load

The 41.7 gr of Imr 4064 in FC or LC brass is what I use. Haven't measured the velocity but it shoots very well. I use a 175nosler rdf and a 175 nosler cc.
