    Looks good to me. They said they discontinued the 44mm because there was no real gain over the 37mm. They were putting a diffuser in the 44mm because it let in too much light. Only thing that the illumination will help you with is resale value, otherwise, go for it as-is.

    USO has re-named their optics. I would go with the SR6 DFP without the EREK knob. No need to dial the elevation when you are shooting inside 500yds http://www.usoptics.com/optics/sr-6-dfp.html

    The knob you have pictured there just sits on top of the stainless knob screw. The rounded top cap with the 2 flat-head screws is what holds it down. Just put it back together. Also, The center screw wont come out through the top
