Rifle Scopes US Optics v. S&B v. Others

Not sure how to answer this. You tried 2 High end optics and they outperformed the budget optic. End of story.

    Flat top scope mount suggestion

1.5" is the go-to height on a flat top AR. That's 1.5" from the TOP of the Rail to the Center of the Optic. (not measured from barrel centerline) With 1.5" rings or mount you can fit an objective outside diameter of anything under 3". Cantilever mounts are best in most situations.

Long Range Gun That Shoots 105-109gr Bullets

Everyone pretty much covered it. In that weight bullet a 6mm will be better than a 6.5mm. 105 Bergers or A-max are pretty easily pushed over 3k fps in the 6mm offerings. Pick one and run with it. You'll get to 1000yds with that. Lots of wildcats and such to choose from but dont discount a good...

    Who was loking for H4350?

I found enough to last me for a while, but could use some H110 though

    Using non lethal shot?

Laws Aside. Any situation that escalates to my use of a shotgun to stop a threat, Lethal is the only way. I'd rather keep my family safe and alive and deal with legalities after the threat has been stopped, than worry about the law or mess around with non-lethal crap. Someone breaking into...

Rifle Scopes I'm pissed about the parallax on my new LRHS!

I'll bet you can get it in focus if you back off the magnification

    Hunting & Fishing Annealing bullets?

I heard if you stick them up your butt for 30min your body heat and the toxins in your butt causes a chemical reaction that softens the jacket. Sort of like how a suppository dissolves. Tie them all together with a string so you dont lose them though......... I've worked my way up to shotgun...

If you were going to build a .300BLK bolt action how would you?

If I was building a 300blk bolt gun, I would try to find a deal on a used 223 rifle and have it rebarreled. Done.

.243 Win. for the AR platform.

Depends on what you will be using it for. 243 Win is a fantastic round for a lot of applications If you dont know it already, it wont fit in an AR15, must be an AR10

Hunting & Fishing 223 rounds for yotes

Pretty much any V-max. Since you have a 1:8, I'd say 55gr and up is where to start

Rifle Scopes Low power scope recommendations please

You didnt mention what your budget is, but USO has a 1-4x with an internal Red-Dot. Vortex stuff is pretty nice too.

What is the largest common caliber am AR 15

Is your youth hunter going to be shooting at deer out past 500yds? I suggest the 6.5 or 6.8 like others have said. For the youth hunter I'd imagine 200yds is a long shot.

Yeah I wouldn't be doing it if the math didn't work out in my favor

Hog Rifle for a Non-Hunting freind

Good Excuse to buy an AR10! Otherwise any bolt gun in 308, 270, 30-06, etc will do just fine.

    Kimber mountain .308 or 30-06

I hunted with a guy that had one in 308. Damn light and handled well. Dont know what size groups he was getting but good enough to kill pigs. cant go wrong with either 308 or '06 I would imagine you will get a shot string when it heats up just like any other sporter rifle.

Who buys factory 30-06 ammo for rifles??

I just sold a bunch of ammo last month. It was all gone in 2 days. It was a mix of 12ga, 45acp, 223, 30-06.

Mil value changes with range? How do you use it?

You tell them that Mils have nothing to do with inches. (neither does MOA in fact). Dont mix 2 units of measure like Miles and Kilometers, or Grams and Ounces, or Gallons and Liters. Pick ONE and stick with it. No math or conversions needed. Inches are for tape measures, not shooting. Even if...

Mil value changes with range? How do you use it?

Wow! Stop, Just Stop. So much mental masturbation here. If you are using Mils, FORGET ABOUT INCHES!! Erase inches from your shooting. They are not needed. Use Only Mils. Why use 2 different units of measure?? Are you really going to be using your scope to estimate ranges? Or how about just buy...
