Re: New 6.5 Creedmoor on a Badger M2008 buil by S.
I like your new rifle Hunter. The BO action is rather robust.
I still haven't had a chance to re-stock the barreled action yet. Maybe New Year's week.
Re: Couple of Duracoat ???sss
Good job and well written....easy to follow. After reading, I feel confident enough to undertake a stock painting project on my own A3.
Re: .260 vs. .243 for competition
"I have a certificate for a Remington Factory Rifle (VIP Price) and was thinking about going with a .243 SPS-V"
Factory offerings by Remington have been made in 7-08, 243, 260 with varmint weight barrels in the VLS and VS line. None had the correct barrel...
Re: Flush Cup Placement...A4..?
I suggest picking a couple of folks out of the "A4 show me" thread and PM them for a few more shots of the bottom or get them to take a measurement or two. I'm sure someone would be more than happy to show you more photos...
Re: Brux Barrels
I have two and the barrels are great. They are very helpful on the phone if you have any questions. Also have a better turnaround than most of the other major barrel makers. Brux Barrels popularity continues to grow.
Re: Good Guy List
Hunter223 is a great guy to deal with. ++1 and communicates well.
Bought that GAP 6.5 Creedmoor barreled action and can hardly wait to get it stocked and shooting tight groups.
Re: Would you shoot it?
If you don't take it, I'm sure one of your neighbor hunters will, given the chance. But when/if you do, be prepared to take some good quality photos. Once in a lifetime opportunity.
Re: bilding a 260
For hunting or long range? Barrel....any of the majors brands in 1/8 or 1/8.5 twist. Brux Barrels has been getting barrels out to customers in relatively short order compared to some of the others. You can look in the for sale section here, Benchrest Central or 6mmbr...
Re: Hog Hunting
Chad,
Do you know about the Georgia Outdoor News (GON) website? Check in the forums portion. I bet you would have some luck finding someone with a place there once deer season goes out.
