His track measured a little over 8" so he would probably square at leat 9
ES:
Our area has a strange season with spring hunts on even years and fall hunts on odd years.
Re: Brown Bear Photos
S2 A Kodiak Brown Bear is just a Coastal Brown Bear that happens to live on Kodiak Island which is about 30 miles across the straight from where I live on the Alaska Peninsula. The record books have two clases Coastal Brown Bear and Interior Brown Bear which are x miles...

Not anymore. Got the electric fence working yesterday and got to watch a small one get lit up this morning. The time between shot #2 and #3 was incredibly fast. The one above had walked by several minutes earier and get a respectable distance. Think he may of been...

He gave me a worse stink eye yesterday as he was walking through my yard while I was putting up my electric fence. He looks a lot bigger at 20 feet.
Took all these photos two days ago from my front deck:
This guy was about 150 yards down wind from me getting a good whiff of my scent
So impressed he walked about 20 feet and went to sleep for a half hour
Checked me out a couple times during a rain squall.
Walked back upstream...

Re: Moose Twins...
Great photos. In our area moose twins are not that uncommon. Brown bear predadation is even more common. We watched this same cow loose her twins to Brown Bear three years in a row in our front yard.

Re: Snow Camouflage
The parka/pants/gloves are by Ravenwear in Canada. The second is an el cheapo military surplus that works just as well. The weapons are variations of snow camo but mostly realtree snow.

Re: Predator mounts...
Don't have room for full body but here is a lynx, wolf, black and brown all taken within 1/2 mile of the front door with the exception of the black that was taken SE.
Re: Not mine, but one more wolf down!!!
Have no idea what wolves weigh down south but in my neighborhood it takes a good adult wolf to weigh 100 lbs and the average is less.
Here is a couple of our homey's and neither are over a 100 lbs and I'm just over 6' for reference. If the Idaho wolf...
Re: Check out this BEAVER!
JJ:
50lbs is a lot of beaver but they have a big beaver contest at the spring Beaver Roundup festival north of us in Dillingham and I've heard numbers over 60.
Re: Check out this BEAVER!
There are several 50 pounders in these two bedspreads. I don't think 50 pounds would get you far in the Dillingham big beaver contest.
