    skl1--I didn't use a jig. I just don't know if this looks typical or I should chance it and buy a stripped receiver which may have better contact.

    The stock bolt and this custom bolt both show the same contact wear in my Tikka 308. I used a marker to determine if the receiver is good enough to build a 28 Nosler from. Would you build a semi-custom based on this imperfect receiver or are most Tikka receivers similar to this?

    Are you saying the Tract is a lot better at 20-25 compared to it's 30X or the Tract is a lot better than the ETR from 20-25X? Also, "a lot better" sounds like it's not that great at 30x.
