K&M vs 21st century hand primer?

I use two K&M...one set up for small primers and one for large. They are excellent quality, but mine have been used for several years, so I don't know about current production. I think you'll be happy with the K&M.

    Lone Peak Action

Seekins used to have one inch aluminum rings, but they go on a rail...don't know if they still make them. If it were my action, I'd be checking out www.murphyprecision.com for a titanium rail, then use whatever light rings on that. I am not a fan of the one piece ring/base mounting because you...

Needing Sage Advice on a Season of Failed Load Development

When I chronoed factory Hornady 147s they ran 2700 ft./sec. from my 26" barrel. Using H4350 it took 40.3 grs. to duplicate that velocity in Lapua brass. I continued and settled on 41.5 grs. for 140-145 gr. bullets. Sierra 142s and Hornady 140s would clock 2770, while the 145 gr. Barnes would...

Which trigger for an Impact 737R?

I installed a Bix Tac Sport single stage on my Impact...works great, and I'm well satisfied with it and the Impact. Blue Mountain chambered the barrel, a Hawk Hill medium Palma at 26 inches...superb service. This is my first 6.5 Creedmoor, and I admit, I'm hooked on the chambering now.

Ring mark left on bullet from die?

Wow! That is a pretty significant mark. Contact Redding. They will help you. Years ago I had a ring left from a Redding Comp seater for .223 loading, and I sent the seater in for some grinding/polishing. That helped a lot.

    So, I did a thing...

Personal satisfaction is what's important. Individual taste enters in and whether or not one has the cash for the final choice. Savage is not my choice, but it sounds like you got a good deal. You'll learn a lot with your project.

    Seekins HAVAK Precision Rifle

I just spoke with one of the Seekins guys who worked on my PH2, and it gets shipped back tomorrow 8-5-21. Fed Ex dropped it off at Seekins on July 27th. That's quick service! Thanks to the guys at Seekins for great rifles and workmanship.

Picatinny rail to fit US Remington Model, 1903 Springfield

I suggest trying Boretech Eliminator in your barrel. Great product.

Is this 20 moa cant or 0 flat? Thanks.

    Probably a dumb question but......

I would use the same powder charge. Those Hornady 140 gr. HPBT Match bullets shoot quite well through my Impact action Hawk Hill barrelled rifle.

    AI mag feed lip adjustment

I used an MPA tool and opened the lips to .405-.410 or so. Looking at the rear with a cartridge in place, I make sure the primer is above the rear edge of the mag. Feeding in an Impact 737R has been great, and the MPA Comp chassis has been super. This is for regular aics magazines.

    Lapua 139 scenar question

Don't Scenars have a standard version and an L version...could this be what the difference is? I only have some 123 gr. so nothing to compare with.

    Help with high ES

If you have not done so, you should measure the necks on the Lapua brass. Years ago, Lapua .223 brass was a lot thicker then other brands. I don't know if that is still the case with current manufacture, but if you are using a standard die, the necks are probably getting way more neck tension...

    6.5 Creedmoor Dies

Well they're not really a waste. You can still make good ammunition with those dies. Seating the bullet straight into the case is a high priority, and you have that covered if you have the micrometer seating die with the sleeve.

    6.5 Creedmoor Dies

Using the Redding set with the neck sizing die and the body die achieves the same results as a full length sizing die. It just adds an extra body die step for the batch that you are working on. The quickest way to have a ready to load case, of course, is to use a full length sizing S die with...

6.5 Load Dev Questions and Plans - Please critique (gently haha)

I started at 40 grs. of H4350 with new Lapua brass and 145 gr. Barnes Matchburners. CCI BR-2 primers were used, and 40.3 grs matched the 147 gr. Hornady ELD-M factory load for velocity at 2700 ft/sec. I went through a few three round groups and ended the testing at 41.5 grs. H4350 with 2767...

    Seekins HAVAK Precision Rifle

What is the issue with the bolts? I looked on their website, but found nothing mentioning any issues or replacement. I haven't shot my PH2 in .308 Win. very much, but the times I did, it performed as expected.
