Exact route I went with my GAP 338. C4HD small base full length die took care of my issue - excellent quality.

    Realistic expectations with the 338

Only have experience with 300g in my 30" barrel. I was able to get around 2850 with Retumbo while my H1000 load runs at 2800.

Target interpretation help ---- Annealed brass & Non-Annealed

One thing I started doing after annealing is to use some dry lube on the bullets before seating. I was having excess vertical on the load right after annealing and this seems to have worked for me as they are just as accurate as the subsequent firing now. Try it out and let me know if that helps.

Wrong - the 70MOA is total travel. You will have in the neighborhoood of 55MOA w/ a 20MOA base.

    .260 or .338 TRG?

Life is short-get what ya want! 338 isn't too costly when you reload. Brass will go 10+ cycles and your loads should come under $1.25/rd.

Once fired "NT" headstamp .338 Lapua Mag. brass at Grafs

Got mine in several days ago and agree they look great. Case mouths are in better shape than some new lapua brass I've received in the blue boxes. Graf's did a great job packing the box.

Gunsmithing Double click on bolt lift

Bolt clicks are often caused by tight chambers near case head. Might need to polish out rear area of chamber or try a different die.

    Seeking Opinions on Rangefinders

I took mine out to new shooting spot few weeks ago and ranged target at 1625 first try and a couple times after with exact same reading. Got a 3rd round hit with elevation spot on. My first misses were bad wind calls.

    Seeking Opinions on Rangefinders

Just get a Terrapin and you'll have no trouble ranging anything within shooting range. We have a nice blanket of snow now and my Terrapin has yet to let me down. Ranged my 18x28" target at 1625 first try. Got readings on trees 2300+.
