    Small Base or NM size die for .308 AR

    I will be paying off a DPMS SASS in the next few days. I'm pretty much going to start hand rolling for this gun from the get-go. I currently own a Forster NM Size/decap die for .308. Am I better off going with a Small-Base size die or will the NM FL die work ok? Thanks in advance!

    Re: Is 1 in 9 enough to stabilize 6.5C 140gr A-Max?? My stability calculator program tells me that no, it won't be stable at 1:9 unless you can exceed 3400 FPS (no clue about Creedmore velocities), and then it's only marginally stable. I'd say skip it and do something else with that barrel...
