    Thanks for the help everyone. I Went to the shop after work and their best guy, after a long continuous hour, couldn't get it either. We ended up slapping a new 510 on there and everything was back to normal. No problems in or out of the stock.

    I'm pretty sure that's the only difference. I have a 510 and never used the 512 but I've seen this conversation brought up plenty of times with no outcome other than nickel plating.
