6.5 creedmoor on a stiller tac 30 with 28" bartlein 5r 1:8 and jewell trigger. I am still shopping around for a chassis. I had an opportunity to get an ax aics pretty reasonably but passed.
Looking for a Bi Pod I saw sometime ago that was on a bearing the circled the barrel. I have no idea of its name, etc., only that it was bloody expensive.
GeoLogic Engineering (any number of ways to dress up for marketability, but a geological take on it)
Some interesting Geological German translations of it, too. German names also lend themselves well to engineering firms as German products are assumed to be manufactured to anal standards...
I just received a crossbreed holster for a p2000sk, and the leather thickness is roughly half of what my first holster from them was that I ordered for a sig 239 a year ago. The leather choice was the same (horse hide). Has anyone else had any experience with this or knows if they started...
I was advised against the bolt on a stiller tac 30 due to clearance issues. Greg Young stated that the stiller .003 bolt clearance - cerakote thickness + any foreign debris has lead to issues with the them.
This was regarding cerakote and he stated it also depended on the skill of whomever...
I was set on a whiskey 3 for my stiller tac 30 but have sourced a basically new ax for 800. I know the 1.0 and 2.0 chassis would have to be modified in some cases, but will a stiller action drop cleanly in the ax?
I decided I am going to leave it at 28" for the time being. If I find it is too ridiculous then I will get it cut down, but it appears it will work for my purposes. I never mentioned that it is being built by Greg Young at bugholes.com It is good to see positive reviews of him on here. He...
I have searched on here and cannot find if these two are compatible. I know McRee and some others call out stiller directly, but I have sent an email and tried to call KRG with no reply and do not want to pull the proverbial pocket trigger without being dead certain that when they mate up no...
What a sweet looking rifle. That brake looks like it would be very effective. If a stiller tac30 will fit in a KRG whiskey 3 I am going to go that route.
Your opinion seems to be validated by facts. Looking at different bullet options etc., there does not seem to be anything at creed velocities at that range that would perform well or reliably enough to be ethical. I am set on the chambering for 6.5 creed so I may have found a great excuse to...
Zip code you put it in trumps all.... I have read 300 to 500 pounds depending on the size and proper placement. A 45 pistol at point blank would def do it. Thanks for the info guys. Do you know of a bullet that performs well at 260 like velocities at that range? I am going to do my own...
