What's your claim to fame? Tales of holiday pissing contests.

I've ridden a bull, caught a live wild turkey by hand, caught a 6-7lb salmon by hand, pet a wild shark (not at a resort or staged), caught a 10lb largemouth, aaaaaaaand killed a zebra. Life is good.

    Bedding + aluminum bedding blocks??

Assuming the same force input and neither action moves, they have the same friction force... But honestly for bedding and vee-blocks, I didn't think the friction force had anything with transferring recoil forces to the stock- it's the recoil lug.

    Bedding + aluminum bedding blocks??

True. I've seen and read lapping compound debates that just end up with what each person is comfortable with and prefers. Still though in the past 5-10 years chassis popularity has skyrocketed, and I would be interested in seeing if any records in the past 5 years have been set with a chassis...

    Bedding + aluminum bedding blocks??

An interesting thing to look into is how many accuracy records have been set with chassis vs. bedding the action. I honestly don't know and would like to! My only experience is with the club matches (essentially benchrest - fixed yardage, wind flags, etc.) I go to and all the top scoring guys...

    7mm barrel contour questions

Say what now? Only light barrels can be free floated? I guess all those straight/no taper remington 700 benchrest rigs have a ton of stock contact! *sarcasm font- off* Dude, read up and think on it a bit. Why would anyone even order an MTU or heavier contour barrel if it couldn't be free...

    Bedding + aluminum bedding blocks??

I have a R700 that came in a HS stock with aluminum block. It was shooting .75-1moa on average and I took it to Robert Gradous for his accurizing package. He bedded it, among other things, and it was then averaging about .5-.75moa which is more in line with my abilities. I will say I never...

    XLR Chassis to England?

The only concern I'd have is if it is ITAR related it'd be a pain in the ass to get shipped legally. I couldn't find anything on it saying it *IS* ITAR related, but that doesn't mean it doesn't meet the definition. Personally I think they worded the United States Munitions List so dagum vague...

How to carry a heavy rifle

I toted my DTA SRS while on safari in Africa earlier this year. When we had a long ways to go (went up a plateau for some plinking) I used a TAB sling with flush cups on the non-bolt side. I didn't use the Biathlon sling (which seems much nicer) just the plain jane regular TAB. While going...

Auburn VS FL state in BCS National Championship Game

Hey, as long as Bama claims 1941 as a championship, I think Auburn can claim a LOT more than they currently do, haha

Suppressors Final Action on ATF 41P Not Expected Until June 2014

Thank you for the update and link! This is exactly what I needed to know before going down the road for another suppressor (or two) through a trust!

    SH recommended gunsmiths

Big +1 for Robert Gradous! Had him work over a stock R700 with his accurizing package and it is sweeeeeeeeeeeet. Once my Manners stock comes in, I'm gonna hand it over to him for full build with gre-tan blueprinting and all that. I can't wait!

Suppressors How does my monocore look? .22LR

It is threads like these that make me love this site. Guys taking on ambitious projects and knowledgeable people providing technical input to help. I've learned a lot from this discussion (still reading up on how identical suppressor chambers can cause bullet instability) and appreciate it!

All my fixed power scopes are second focal plane. Much more reliable and clearer in my opinion.

Suppressors Today is Your Last Chance to comment on ATF41P!

I've commented but am wondering what the status of the rule is once the comment period is over. I have a Trust and want to get an Octane and a Spectre II. However I don't want to start the paperwork for a Trust just to get it kicked back due to this BS rule/edict/jackassery. Thanks

Rifle Scopes Voertex Optics Never Ever Again!!!

This has been my experience also. I had to send my 4-16x50 PST back twice for a reticle problem and illumination being broke (would go to brightest setting on all "off" spots of the dial). Both times I paid for shipping but never asked for a shipping label. The second time was a couple of...

Suppressors Form 4 - Signature required or not?

I submitted three Form 4's early this year (one AWC Ultra II and two Templar cans) all with my Trust. I did not include a Schedule A which, at the time, only had an xbox game on it (Lawyer said to put something in it). All three Form 4's were sent back requesting the Schedule A portion of the...

    What suppressor for a .22??

Filling out a Form 5 is not required for repair. I bought two Templar Tactical suppressors as part of the group buy and had to send them back because of burrs on the bore (they paid for everything and turn around was less than a week). This was my first foray into NFA items so I called the ATF...
