N570 load for 375 Cheytac report

This is finally available so I gave it a shot (literally) while working up a load for 2 different DT 375 factory barrels in the past 2 weeks. Here is my report: 1.) WAY more speed than Retumbo. Like 100 fps more is possible before running into pressure. I started with my Retumbo load 132 grains...

    Peterson Brass Report 375CT Review

Here's my initial report: 1.) It comes packaged better than any other brass, in an MTM style plastic case 2.) It is the best looking brass in terms of the polish they do to it 3.) The primer pockets are VERY tight, like Lapua tight. Seating a primer requires a good deal of initial force and a...

    Peterson pre-order update

I got mine and it looks superb. I have not shot it yet, but I picked up one on the local range that was left behind by DT. It has ever so faint of an ejector swipe (they are not known for weenie loads, usually a 352 solid at 3050ish fps). I deprimed it last night and a new primer seated super...

Spuhr is a great mount and I think they have 35 mm call Mile High and inquire Oops I think this may be false no 35 in Spuhr so sad

Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

For those with an HTI or getting one and deciding on a bipod, I did a direct comparison of the LRA and the Elite Iron Revolution on a DTA HTI in 375 CT here...

Who's your Daddy? LRA bipod and Elite Iron Revolution direct comparison

I've posted before that while I like the LRA bipod (well built, sturdy and solid, etc.) I'm disappointed that I can only get 6 degrees of upward angle on shots from my DTA HTI and that the leg extensions are backordered and lots of folks can't get a hold of the folks at LRA. On the other hand...

Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

RMW and others - I"m torn about the monopod versus a small rear bag. I really think that it affects my ability to shoot consistent groups. Problem with the monopod is that it slides on a bench (I have some rubber glued to the bottom of my HTI monopod). I generally like a rear bag, but with...

Factory 22" 308 bbl with Factory Hornady (OTM) 155 grain, 100 yards, prone, bipod, ten (10) shot group, just over 0.6" shot today at PMAA. I am told that LW barrels won out because they were the only ones that were very very consistently concentric from lot to lot. I have no complaints about...

Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

Is this normal wear after the first 50-100 rounds in an SRS? I ask, because after several hundred rounds, there is no such wear on my HTI. I checked the bolt and there are no obvious burrs or uneven spots.

Suppressors Elite Iron .375 First Impressions

Nice. Thanks for this information. I just talked to Dale at EI. They're working on a soon to be released 375 suppressor that will thread over the native HTI brake. The problem with their SD mount is that you have to have the flange machined off your HTI barrel to fit the SD mount. So in my...

Does anyone have experience with the LRA bipods?

Mine has the measurements of the long leg. 6.6 and 10" Long Range Accuracy F-Class Bipod And the DTA guys including Nick have the same gripe about the cant stickiness. We have a lot of sand out here.

Suppressors Elite Iron .375 First Impressions

What is the attachment mechanism? Direct Thread or their brake attach one? and do you know what the threads are on the HTI 375 barrel? I'm looking at getting one of these soon....

The mini can't take the recoil of the 375...:-) I just ordered the Revolution

Does anyone have experience with the LRA bipods?

LRA Bipod Height I disagree. First, as seen in the photo, on a DTA HTI the LRA bipod will allow a MAXIMUM upward shooting angle of 6 (six) degrees. This is a MAJOR handicap when shooting in mountainous terrain. Second, Eurooptic has not had leg extensions in stock for going on a year...

Rifle Scopes Spuhr mount owners I have a couple of questions for ya...

I have been through this with my Spuhr mount too just like the OP. In fact leveling scopes is the bane of my existence when I set up a new rifle. On my DTA HTI, when I have the rail level (based on several levels placed along the rail), the bubble level on the Spuhr is biases to the left. So...

Sleuthing the Federal Gold Medal match load... Mk 316 Mod 0?

I stumbled across this thread, and it reminded me of 1998 when I had my first M1A rifle and I was reloading for it and contrary to my previous reloading experiences, I COULD NOT beat the 168 grain FGMM load. In fact, my reloads were WORSE than the FGMM ammo, to my chagrin. So I resorted to...

Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

3 weeks ago, I almost bought a 308 covert for 3600. But for 4400 I got a brand new 308 SRS. Depends on how price sensitive you are. For me, I didn't need a "covert" length rifle, and actually didn't really want one. Also, one has to ask, what specific application is a 300WM 18" bbl set up...
