    Reloading startup recommendations

I think you will find other threads that cover this topic. But my advice would be almost the exact opposite of what Kadams said. Co-ax is a cadillac, not a value play. Find a used single stage press and you'll be fine. Rock Chucker would be my preference but Hornady is ok. I think a...

    Headspace for 270 Weatherby Magnum

I ignore the belt for my 300WM and 7 Rem Mag and just headspace off the shoulder. But the 270 Weatherby Mag has a dinky little shoulder. Does anyone have any experience with headspacing this cartrige? Do you need to make sure you have MORE headspace in front of the shoulder versus headspace...

Reloading question.....How to consistently get single digit SD

You got a good process going there with some really nice gear. Neck turning should help or you should at least get Lapua brass. SS tumbling creates inconsistent neck friction - using the imperial media may help but it's messy and time consuming, and when I was going that route, I tried to be...

How do you prevent stainless pin from being stuck in case?

To answer your question, the key for me on the SS tumbling is really good rinsing and then tumbling the brass with water in a media separator. I use the RCBS one because the lid closes and keeps water and noise down. BUT - I've come around to Oran's view on SS tumbling and now have reverted...

    Brand new at this

I shoot a very similar setup. 140gn Berger hybrids have been excellent for me. You may need a different size bushing, but once you load some you can see if you're happy with your neck tension and adjust from there. If using a neck bushing die, 'd turn the necks even with the lapua brass, but...

    Mausingfield feed issues

Thanks Aaron. I'll check out the video. Chad built this rifle. I hope I don't have to send it back for service but maybe that's the answer. If I do end up messing with it, I'm going to strip the cerakote and get it DLCd. This shoots 1/4 moa and if I could just get it to feed smoothly it...

    Mausingfield feed issues

Im not happy with the way my M5 feeds. The problem is that the rounds don't snap up into the claw extractor without an excessive force being applied to the bolt. The only way to get a round to feed into the chamber is to run the bolt at 100 mph. I do run it hard most of the time, but it's...

    ARC Mags

Hot damn, when did you place your order Niles? I cannot wait for these to arrive - my M5 has never liked the aics or the accurate mags and I'm praying these arc ones finally give me the smooth ride I expected

What bullet for a .260 Remington?

My 260 w a 1/8 26" barrel got better results w 139 gn scenars vs 140 Berger hybrids. The 123gn scenars also shot extremely tight groups bit I think the heavier 139s will be a big advantage over 1000 yards.

    AMP vs. EZ-anneal

I've been doing the same research on EZ Anneal vs AMP and wanted to point out a couple of things I've learned. First - the AMP auto feeder is expected to come out in the next couple of months with an estimate price of $300. But note that according to AMP you will also need an autofeed hopper...

What conversion kit is needed to load 260 Rem on Dillon 650XL?

Ok great thanks, what do you think about using a 308 size trim, die just to run the 260 brass through the RT1500 trimmer, then run a neck sizing die in another stage?

What conversion kit is needed to load 260 Rem on Dillon 650XL?

I spoke to Dillon today and they told me they don't have a conversion kit for 260. I ordered a conversion kit for my 6.5x47L, which they did have. I also ordered a conversion kit for 308, and I figured between those two kits I ought to be able to load 260. . . Has anyone done this and if so...

Help me choose a Brass trimmer

I picked up a used frankford arsenal prep center to help with chamfering etc. It works really good for that because it's heavy and you can just run the cases through without having to hold the thing down with your other hand. It comes with a trimming device too that works ok. It indexes off...
