    Carbon barrels save weight over a similar steel barrel profile, however they do not increase precision. If they increased precision every benchrest shooter would be using them. EJ

    Start by seating .010" into the lands and work up a ladder test with an in the lands seating depth. Shoot on paper at 1k to confirm drop numbers and adjust, if necessary, from there. EJ

    92.5grs of H1000 and a 285gr ELDM or 300gr SMK in Lapua or Peterson brass works real well in standard 10 twist TRG's. If you have access to any Ramshot LRT powder you might want to give it a try as you can up the velocity a bit with similar pressures. EJ

    Peterson brass is top quality and the 142 Sierra matchking is the gold standard of 6.5mm bullets. I am confident this ammunition will work very well at all reasonable distances. EJ
