    Looking to put a bigger scope on my 700p in .308. I've never consistently shot at distances longer than @250 yards. I;m joining a new club with a 600 yard range and want to get a scope that will let my old eyes see the target. Any old farts (50 years or so) here have an opinion or advice?

    Re: Pros and Cons of Warne Scope Mounts I like them, but prefer the looks of Leupy mk4s and Badgers. One cool thing I noticed with Warne rings- I have NEVER managed to put ring marks on a scope while using them.

    Re: Rem LE 700P My favorite "out of the box" guns. I"m on my second 700P in .308 (I was a fool and sold the first one ). Also have one in .223. I need to get a load worked up for it, but I'm confident that it will be a laser. Short answer- buy it if the price is right.
