Rifle Scopes Now I own 2 Burris 3-15X44 Signature HD scopes...

You nailed it. An SCR in there would make a darn fine little optic. t

Rifle Scopes Now I own 2 Burris 3-15X44 Signature HD scopes...

I wholeheartedly agree, they are a great little scope. I personally feel like the reticle selection (or lack there of) is what is keeping them from selling better. I have the perfect little 6mmAI that is begging for something just like the Signature HD. The E3 reticle is kinda/sorta usable...

Recommend a Left Handed chassis or stock - R700 compatible

Being a Lefty myself... I have or had at one time: McRee XLR McMillan Manners HS Precision KRG Bravo For a small statured shooter, XLR & KRG Bravo win that race pretty easily, IMHO. t

    6mm Creedmore

I'm a bit of a 6mm nut. .243, .243AI, 6mmAI & 6-284 in the stable at some point. I've stacked more deer & antelope with 6mm than all of the other calibers I have. It's fast, it's flat, it offers little recoil & the proper bullet is more than adequate for the big Wyoming Mule Deer. Actually...

Rifle Scopes Any better option for 3-18 at $1k than XTR3?

I've had really good luck with the MK Machining Carbon Fiber Nylon lever. https://www.mkmachining.com/product/burris-polymer-throw-levers/#review t

Rifle Scopes Any better option for 3-18 at $1k than XTR3?

I've only had one experience with Burris' warranty/cs & it was absolutely excellent. I inquired about repairs to a Gen 1 XTR that i've had for at least a decade. No questions asked, no receipt required; I immediately had an RMA & return label. If I remember correctly, I had my scope repaired...

What is better than 5-25 PST Gen 2 in $650 price range?

That's actually really close. Still having both an original PST and an XTR II i'd say the XTRII edges the PST by just enough to notice & has does seem to offer a little more brightness, at least in the two I have. Not to mention i'm pretty certain I could bludgeon the PST to death with the XTR...

Prototypes complete - final product in cherry wood - need opinions on finish

That's pretty bad ass. My hat's off to you for going outside the box. I think that would be a sweet rimfire setup. Question is... where do I place an order? lol t

Custom LA Win M70 Rebarrel options

I don't disagree with you. I'm looking forward to what you put together. 25-284 with a 135 sounds pretty bad ass. t

Custom LA Win M70 Rebarrel options

Man, it would be really hard for me to give up my 6-284 (I run the 112 Match Burners). It's been one of my favorite calibers for as long as I can remember. But, the cool factor wouldn't be lost on a 25-284 either. I say do it, why the hell not? If it sucks, you can always go back to the...

What cartridge for the Sierra 150 grain 6.5 bullet

I've basically been exclusively shooting the 160 Matrix out of my 6.5WSM. 3100fps and getting good case life. Believe it or not, it's a 1-8.4" Obermeyer, (4500'ALS), I don't see how a 1-8 wouldn't stabilize a 150grn pill... at least at this altitude. Should be able to rock a pretty good...

    Ball powders for 260?

If I were looking for a Ball powder to run in a 260, the first one I'd grab is Ramshot Hunter. Burn rate is a tad slower than RL-19 or IMR 4831. I'd imagine 2800 with a 140 would be doable. t

Recommendations on replacing the stock on a Savage 11 Hog Hunter.

I really like the BVSS stock. If you could find one cheap, I'd snag it, bed it and roll on. I was in a similar situation as you not too long ago, I finally decided on a XLR Element. It's a pretty decent Chassis for the money. t

    Long Action

That's a pretty tough question. I know I'd be flip-flopping all over the issue. For me, 6.5-06AI first 280AI second. t

    Moving from.308 to 6.5

I really liked the Velocity 100v provide me but I could never get it to shoot for me, I finally gave up and went to 4350. 100v got the 136 Scenar L over 2900 but I couldn't get it under 1moa... WTF... I have no idea. I probably could have switched powder and played with seating depth more...
