Re: Bushnell Elite Tactical scope quality? I’ve go no problem recommending an Elite tactical to anyone. I have 3 Elites, two being tactical. The have proved very rugged and repeatable. Knobs are a little big, but very easy to get use to. There easy enough for a 12 year old to use...

Hunting & Fishing Rifle for my son.

Re: Rifle for my son. As the others has stated that is a great choice. It's a flat shooting with mild recoil round. A 9 twist barrel should stabilize 105's. With good shot placement it will take out just about anything he wants to hunt. It's all me and my son use these days, I can't...

    Hunting & Fishing 3 Generations

My dad comes up from LA for a visit every turkey and deer season. Since we had no good luck with the thunder chickens, I figured we should at least try to catch some fish together. While we didn't "load the gloo" with fish, it was great spending time on the water with the two of them.

    Oil industry

Re: Oil industry Property tax, inventory tax, franchise tax, payroll tax, royality tax, UST permit fee, hazmat permit fee, and air quality permit fee are just some of the taxes and fees paid to our governement by oil companies. To say oil companies pay no tax is just plain foolish.

Can't Decide on How to Spend My Money?!?

Re: Can't Decide on How to Spend My Money?!? If you want a rifle thats easy to shoot and will take down anything in PA, get an 8 twist 243 and shoot 105's. 308 is fine, just a little harder on the shoulder and a little more drop.

Range Report Got my son out for some more long range shooting

Re: Got my son out for some more shooting distance That's some great shooting. I took mine on Sat along with a neighbor and his 9 year old, it was a great morning for shooting. After a fruitless few hours of forest chicken chasing, we loaded up the skeet thrower and tossed a few. Then took...

Re: BUSHNELL TACTCAL OR VORTEX PST? I have no affilation with Bushnell other than I own 3 mil dot elites, the 6x30x50 6500, a 4x24x50 4200 tactical, and an elite tactical. All have preformend flawlessly and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I like the white dial indicators on...

Light recoil but with stopping power for whitetail

Re: Light recoil but with stopping power for whitetail Like many others have told you a 243 is what you want, with a 8 twist tube. 105's will shoot flat with little recoil and kill whatever you point them at. 7mm08 or 260 are also good choices if you roll your own ammo, 260 gets the nod then...

Rifle Scopes Sub $1000 FFP scopes

Re: Sub $1000 FFP scopes I'm right with Team send it on this one. Bushnell tacticals on two of my rifles and Elite 6500 on my sons 7mm08. We beat them pretty good. They are rugged, repeatable, and reliable. For under a grand the best bang for the buck and their customer service is outstanding.
