Re: Thoughts on 155gr Lapua Scenar .308 bullets Been thinking about trying scenars myself. Not much discussion here about jumping - specifically that they don't jump well. Based on an earlier thread and some mention above, I'm starting to think it's not that big a deal. Any comment??- SND

Re: Inletting Williams Bottom Metal Thanks. I may have had a bit too much caffeine in me this morning. I checked the setup over and hit the range again [less than a mile from home] with much better results. I most likely wasn't getting on the gun and watching my form. It's back to itself...- SND

Gunsmithing Inletting Williams Bottom Metal
Bought some used metal from a member and inletted it to my 5R stock. It was ~1/4" longer in the front to I needed to extent that area of the stock and widen the rear of the mag well area just a bit. It slips in nicely and seems to sit on the pillars well. Torqued the metal down just as with...- SND

Re: why the 155gr. scenar for .308 Interesting discussion here with respect to jumping the Scenars. SMK 175's in mag length cartridges jump ~ .140" out to the lands in my Rem 5R. I used a stoney point to make the measurement. For those having good luck with them, are you guys jumping...- SND
