Rifle Scopes Glasses and using a scope

Re: Glasses and using a scope Assuming right-handed shooter ... are you saying to see through your scope, you often find yourself staring through the upper left edge of your eyeglass frame? Common issue with us near-sighted folk & we usually adopt a slightly more upright head position on the...

Rifle Scopes Scope rings for an OBR

Re: Scope rings for an OBR Sure thing. My roommate is scopeing his POF P308 with a S&B 4-16x50 so we just went through this entire rock drill testing 1.00" Badger USMC and 1.125" Near Alphamount I had laying around. He's narrowed it down to Badger 1.257 or 1.275 (whatever it is) or waiting...

Rifle Scopes Scope rings for an OBR

Re: Scope rings for an OBR LaRue "OBR" i.e., are you asking if a 50mm bell will clear a flat top rail? If yes, you need right around 1.175" to perfectly clear, so 1.2" to comfortably clear most 50mm bells ... and you still likely wont be able to use caps.

Rifle Scopes Nightforce F1 - Entire eyepiece rotates?

Re: Nightforce F1 - Entire eyepiece rotates? The two options I've been playing with for a few days are the velcro strap and the p-cord that Willyz54 mentioned above. Here's quick pictures of both options in case it helps. Just tested a Butler on the ocular and I really did not like the...

    Huber trigger question

Re: Huber trigger question I was set on the CG but went with the Huber during the group buy. I had the same worry about it not being a typical two-stage with the half-weight set, but quickly came to really like it. If I'm going for a quick follow-up and my finger/hand placement is just a...

    Huber trigger question

Re: Huber trigger question Standard is 1#. If you've got specific specs, John can probably make it happen. Give him a call direct -- fun guy to talk to.

    Huber trigger question

Re: Huber trigger question Yes it will go back out. Only difference is if you set then release, the 1st stage will require about half weight (0.5# vs 1#) to take up afterwards. Opening the bolt or flipping safety on then off will reset it completely.

Rifle Scopes US Optics RDP reticle

Re: US Optics RDP reticle I owned two RDP-MOA reticle scopes -- one IPHY TPAL, one MOA ERGO. The reticle is awesome if you're looking for the 'jack of all trades' sort of thing. For the benefits, think along the lines of... - Bench shooters who love thin reticles like the NF NP-series --...

Re: Older model TRG 22 question Ben!!! Doesn't answer your question, but I just sold my TRG with Near rail. I think I've got the OEM low-profile 0MOA rail sitting around somewhere. If I can find it & you can use it, I'll send it to you if you pay postage. Just pay-it-forward vs sell it if...

    Light Vs Heavy rifle

Re: Light Vs Heavy rifle Why does this bring horrible flashbacks of physics classes? Cuga is right with his perspective of momentum, acceleration and kenetic energy. Going back a few posts to the wood vs plastic bat comparison, direct comparison requires you give them the same 'momentum' ...

More practicool, and less tacticool. Saving money!

Re: More practicool, and less tacticool. Saving money! I wish I owned even one AR after reading this! So I'm guessing step (12) is buy a Viper PST because it's cheap but chalk full of desirable 'tacticool' options and a LaRue QD mount because that's what the cool people use, and especially...
