    Sidearms & Scatterguns G17 upgrades

Re: G17 upgrades I did the 25 cent trigger job, added a streamlight, devconed the grip and opened up the rear sight so I can see it, after that all cash goes for ammo.

Stressful day yesterday during the craze of 2012

Re: Stressful day yesterday during the craze of 2012 I may be in the minority but I am not worried about uppers or even internal parts, I want to get my hands on another lower. Even if no more lowers were ever made there are still plenty of vendors and suppliers that can produce upper parts.

Where to get Bolt Carrier Group

Re: Where to get Bolt Carrier Group If you have a smart phone you can get one at BCM, they have an option to get an email when stock comes in but it goes quick. This week I tried to order within three minutes of getting the email and they were sold out.

Teludyne Tech — super-accurate AR upper receivers

Re: Teludyne Tech — super-accurate AR upper receivers Props for stepping up to the plate and putting facts out there. Will remain to be seen if independent testing shows similiar results. As someone who has brought non shooting related products to the market I would suggest stomping on all...

Sidearms & Scatterguns reshparpen knifes as good as new?

Re: reshparpen knifes as good as new? Edge pro apex is what I use exclusively and I could not be happier. I set a primary edge with a rough stone based on the steel and a secondary edge about 3 degrees steeper. Unless there is abuse or a super rolled edge I can kiss the secondary with a...

    An Argument

Re: An Argument If the angle was steep enough to fit a 7.62x51 there is no way the bolt would catch the back of the round to feed it. Does your friend happen to work in a gunshop? Anything is possible in a gunshop.

How much of a difference in a stripped lower?

Re: How much of a difference in a stripped lower? So now the next question is how has lowers in stock? Been searching all the usual suspects and cannot find much at all. I have seen the ATI poly lowers but that is about it. If anyone has a Hide vendor they recommend for an AR build feel...

How much of a difference in a stripped lower?

Re: How much of a difference in a stripped lower? Thank you very much guys. I have run plenty of ARs but they were always issued and I was never allowed to modify them in any way. As long as they went bang and held an iron sight zero that was all that mattered. Thanks for not beating a AR...

How much of a difference in a stripped lower?

Guys Im looking to build another AR and have been out of the loop a while. When it comes to getting a stripped lower how much of a difference is there between manufactures? I am not worried about cosmetics but more concerned about precision of the machining, correct hole size and placement etc...

Cant decide on a stock for double duty

Re: Cant decide on a stock for double duty Any comments on the Ergo grip? I handled one the other day but did not get a chance to shoot it. It felt alot like the Magpul UBR without the weight. It was the most rigid collapsible stocl I have seen when fully extended...

    6.5 Grendel issues WT#^*++

Re: 6.5 Grendel issues WT#^*++ Or neck tension was not high enough and when slammed into battery the bullet jumped just enough to grab the lands. Had a friend using some of my match ammo in his AR-10 and the same thing happened. My ammo was set up for a bolt gun with minimal tension and it...

    Tactical bolt handle

Re: Tactical bolt handle I did my marlin by hand and it was a piece of cake. PTG has knobs as cheap as $6 but I got the anderson knob for $12.50. I used a file to create a rounded end, threaded it and let devcon fill any gaps. Total cost was about $15 and a couple hours of time.

    Best subsonic varmint round

Re: Best subsonic varmint round Winchester 38gr subsonic appears to be opening pretty well on prarie dogs and ground squirrels. The Fiocchi HP also seems to work very well but does not expand much on the smaller squirrels.

    New toy is kicking azz

Re: New toy is kicking azz Ok finally got around to putting it on paper and playing with some different ammo in prep for a smack the smiley match. All groups at 50 yards from a bipod and sandbag. Had to shoot from the benches, the way the range is set up you cannot see the target boards if...

    Decent ($150-250) scope for a CZ 22LR 452?

Re: Decent ($150-250) scope for a CZ 22LR 452? Sounds like your heading towards a nikon rimfire scope but you did not list specs you want. Are you looking for repeatable adjustments, the ability to simply hold a zero and use the reticle for any adjustments, magnification??
