    Has anyone ordered and received a Surgeon action lately? I ordered a 591 16months ago and still nothing. I called Surgeon today and lady said she had no idea when actions will be made again and for me to call Mr. Ford. His voicemail said Mcmillan Firearms. Apparently he is over Surgeon now?

    Why not .338 LM Ackley Improved?

    There is faster 338`s with the same boltface as the 338 Lapua. Think rebated rim. Fatter body than Lapua with same size rim. Also same case length. Still in testing.

    Problem with 408`s is most got built with 13 twist barrels. Probably won`t stabilize anything with higher BC. BC is easier to get when the bullet diameter gets bigger. We know that the Hornady 50cal AMAX has a BC over 1 and its only about 5 calibers long plus its stabilized in a constant 15...
